Present: Christina Dravis, Janice Bretscher, Tony Bretscher
1. Emergency Preparedness Trainings and CPR/First Aid Trainings for Dryden Community
a. For the Elderly and Disabled in collaboration with Amy Jo DeKoeyer from FLIC
i. Consult with Amy Jo De Koeyer to assist with scheduling and promoting
training sessions
b. Contact/Consult with the Dryden Community Council to request funds from the
United Way Community Care Fund for Emergency Preparedness Trainings and
CPR/First Aid Trainings for residents of Dryden
i. Trainings to include free Preparedness Kits for attendees
ii. Free CPR/First Aid Certifications
iii. Narcan Trainings
iv. Stop the Bleed Training
c. Apply for funds from the Dryden Youth Opportunity Fund to provide free
preparedness and CPR/First Aid trainings specifically for Dryden youth.
2. CERT Program Update
a. First set of CERT trainings completed
i. 10 individuals completed trainings
1. Option now to join Town of Dryden CERT
ii. Policy Manual to be drafted for Town of Dryden CERT
iii. Meeting/Potluck scheduled for Dec. 16th for CERT trainees
1. Discuss joining CERT – requirements/expectations etc.
iv. Contact Jessica Wickham (from Tompkins Weekly) to arrange for meeting
to discuss Town of Dryden CERT program for article in Tompkins Weekly.
b. Schedule next CERT Training
i. Spring 2020 – possibly March-May.
ii. Need to identify instructors and location
c. Reviewed Grant Possibilites for CERT
i. Need to generate list of supplies/equipment needed for CERT program
