Zoning Board of Appeals
August 11 , 1970
The regular meeting of the Zoning Board of Appeals was
held Tuesday , August 11 , 1970 in the Town of Ithaca offices ,
108 E . Green Street , Ithaca , New York ,
Present : Chairman David Powers , Loran Marion , Andy Soyring ,
David Cowan , Zoning Officer , and Charlene Lawson , Secretary ,
Mr . Cowan read the legal notice published in the Ithaca
Journal on August 7 , 1970 :
" By direction of the Chairman of the Zoning Board of
Appeals notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be
held by the Zoning Board of Appeals under the Zoning Ordinance
of the Town of Ithaca on ' the 11th day of August , 1970 at 7 : 30
p . m . at Town Office , 108 E . Green Street , Ithaca , New York
on the following matter :
Request of Vincent Franciamone , Appellant , to change use of
Parcel 45 - 1 - 5 known as 108 Ridgecrest Rd . from R - 30 to R - 15 , a more
Restrictive Non - Conforming Use . Reference is made to Art . XII ,
Sect . 55 , changes in non - conforming uses . "
Mr . Cowan then read a letter to the Zoning Board of Appeals
from Mr . Franciamone requesting the change from R - 30 to R - 15 .
An appeal was presented by Mr . Franciamone as stated in
his letter of June 11 , 1970 . Discussion was held by the Board .

legal advice as to whether the Board can do this . An adjourned
meeting will be held on Tuesday , August 25 , 19700
