Town of Ulysses
August 13, 2021

The meeting was held at the Town Hall at 10 Elm St., Trumansburg. Members of the public joined in
person and via videoconference on the Zoom platform.
Notice of Town Board meetings are posted on the Town’s website and Clerk’s board.
CALL TO ORDER:
Ms. Zahler called the meeting to order at 8am.
ATTENDANCE:
The Town Clerk called the roll:
TOWN OFFICIALS PRESENT:
Supervisor- Nancy Zahler
Board members- Michael Boggs, Katelin Olson, Rich Goldman, Mary Bouchard
Town Clerk- Carissa Parlato
Highway Superintendent- Scott Stewart
EXECUTIVE SESSION:
Ms. Olson made a motion to move into Executive Session at 8:04am for the purpose of discussing
collective bargaining. This was seconded by Mr. Goldman and passed unanimously.
Mr. Stewart was excused at 8:36am.
Ms. Bouchard moved to end executive session at 9:02am. This was seconded by Mr. Boggs and
passed unanimously.
COVID MTG. PROTOCOLS
Ms. Zahler canvassed the Planning Board, BZA and staff regarding comfort levels for the current
COVID-19 status. Responses ran the gamut from being comfortable meeting in person with masks to
not being comfortable meeting in person at all right now.
Ms. Olson was excused at 9:09am.
RESOLUTION 153-2021: REMOTE PARTICIPATION IN TOWN MEETINGS
Ms. Olson moved that the Town Board allow 2 board members to participate remotely from
other offices in the town hall.
DISCUSSION:
Mr. Boggs noted that some organizations are moving toward asking people to prove that they
are vaccinated.

DISCUSSION OF STAFFING:
Ms. Zahler gave an update on the Planner vacancy. Decisions are still being finalized as to which title
to use and what the staffing needs will be in 2022.
ADJOURN:
Mr. Goldman moved to adjourn the meeting at 9:21am. This was seconded by Ms. Bouchard and
passed unanimously.
