TOWN BOARD MEETING
September 20, 2016
Present: Supv Jason Leifer, Cl Daniel Lamb, Cl Kathrin Servoss,
Cl Deborah Cipolla-Dennis, Cl Linda Lavine
Elected Officials: Bambi L. Avery, Town Clerk
Other Town Staff: Jennifer Case, Bookkeeper
Ray Burger, Director of Planning
Supv Leifer opened the meeting at 5:00 p.m.
The board reviewed and discussed budget requests for the 2017 budget.
The Recreation Director has resigned and the board discussed how to proceed for the
next few weeks and options.
RESOLUTION #151a (2016) – RESIGNATION OF RECREATION DIRECTOR
Supv Leifer offered the following resolution and asked for its adoption:
WHEREAS, Jennifer Jones has tendered her resignation as Recreation Director; and
WHEREAS, Jennifer Jones has offered to stay and assist in training the current
recreation staff until October 6 in an effort to provide for a smooth transition into winter
programs, now therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that this Town Board hereby accepts Jennifer Jones’ resignation with the
following stipulations:
o Her last day of work will be October 6, 2016.
o Her insurance coverage will terminate September 30, 2016.
o She will be paid her current salary converted to an hourly rate.
o She must work 80 hours by October 6 in order to receive her vacation payout
(this is an exception to the provisions of the Town of Dryden Personnel Manual).
And be it further
RESOLVED, that Jennifer Jones will provide:
o A schedule to the Town Supervisor by Monday, September 26, 2016, that details
when she is working, who she is training and what topics she is training them
on.
o An operating manual (or standard operating procedures) to the Town Board for
running the Recreation Department in general that includes instruction for
preparing Spring programming.
