Avery, Town Clerk Other Town Staff: Jennifer Case, Bookkeeper Supv Sumner called the meeting to order at 5:40 p.m. She asked if the board had any further instruction regarding the budget. She made the changes discussed at the meeting last Thursday. That brought the tax rate to $1.7615. The DA appropriated fund balance was moved to the A fund because the A fund has a higher fund balance. DA will be funded through sales tax. Total appropriated fund balance will be $725,135.00. Cl Sloan noted this tax rate would result in a $32.00 increase in Dryden town tax for a home assessed at $200,000, a 9% increase. The board discussed: o The amount of appropriated fund balance o The amount of the tax levy o Distribution of sales tax from the county to the towns o The amount of contingency to be included o Anticipated sales tax revenues Supv Sumner said that out of respect for town staff and county assessment staff she would like to introduce this preliminary budget on Thursday so they can do what they have to do in order to produce the tax bills in a timely manner.
