Zoning Board of Appeals of the Town of Ithaca
June 9 , 1958 .

The adjourned meeting of the Zoning. Board of Appeals
of the Town of Ithaca was held on June 9 , 1958 at the . Fire -
house of the Village of Cayuga Heights as agreed upon at
the meeting on June . 2 , 1958 . Members present were : William
Rolston , Chairman ; David Powers , ; and Robert Powers . '

present were : Ben Boynton , Town Zoning Officer ; George
Ellison , General Manager of Knight Paving Company ; and Clint
Chamberlain ; and several other interested neighbors .
The chairman William Rolston called the meeting to
order and stated that the purpose of the meeting was to
further consider the appeal of Knight Paving Company for
a permit to erect a building as mentioned in the June 2
meeting .
Mr . Ben Boynton read a letter dated June 9 , 1958 from
Knight Paving Products , Inc . enumerating contemplated plans
to improve the area Mr . Ray Hemming asked as to further
expansion of Knight Paving Products , Inc . Mr . Ellison
stated that there were no other plans for expansion and
were no . other foundations on which other building could be
erected . The chairman requested a letter to this effect and
Mr . Ellison agreed to comply . He also agreed to state in
the letter that foundations were in before October 1954 .
The legality of the permit , if granted , questioned
due to one year length of permit and length of time ex -
piring after ordinance went into effect .
It was requested by Mr . Clint Chamberlain , 120 Vine
Street , that a sworn statement that foundations for tanks
installed after October 1954 were in before that date .
The decision of the board deferred until receipt of a
letter from Knight Paving Products , Inc . and receipt of
advice as to above mentioned legality .
