2021 BUDGET
October 19, 2020

The meeting was held via videoconference on the Zoom platform.
Notice of Town Board meetings are posted on the Town’s website and Clerk’s board.
CALL TO ORDER:
Ms. Zahler called the meeting to order at 8:03am.
ATTENDANCE:
The Town Clerk called the roll:
TOWN OFFICIALS PRESENT:
Supervisor- Nancy Zahler
Board members- Richard Goldman, Michael Boggs, Katelin Olson, Marc Devokaitis
Town Clerk- Carissa Parlato
Second Deputy Supervisor- Michelle Wright
OTHERS PRESENT:
Steve Penningroth (Director, Community Science Institute (CSI), Mary Bouchard
MOTION TO APPROVE AGENDA:
Mr. Devokaitis made a motion to approve the agenda. This was seconded by Mr. Goldman and
passed unanimously.
PRIVILEGE OF THE FLOOR:
Mr. Penningroth shared that the NYSDEC only collects water quality data on point sources, not non-
point sources. CSI fills in these gaps and works in partnership to share data collection and
stewardship.
REVIEW OF 2021 TENTATIVE BUDGET:
The board discussed the following funds and accounts:
A FUND
Appropriations:
• Highway Superintendent
• Streetlighting
• Sidewalk
• Veterans
• Program for the Aging
• Parks
• Youth Programs
• Library
• Historical society
• Historian
• Culture- (TCFA contribution)
• Stream Research- (CSI)
• Cemeteries
• Employee Benefits
• Reserve funding (employee benefits, legal, tax stabilization, cemetery, capital)
Revenues:
(includes tax, clerks fees, parks & rec, youth services, fines & bail, mortgage…)
B FUND
Appropriations:
• Gen Natural Resources
• Employee Benefits
• Reserve funding
Revenues:
(planning & zoning fees, interest, permits)
The group d iscussed possible increased hours for building/code position and asked for fiscal impact
information.
ADJOURN:
Mr. Goldman moved to adjourn the meeting at 9:59am. This was seconded by Ms. Olson and passed
unanimously.
