Our work and personal lives are s00000 busy; schedules are often overloaded and overbooked. There
are times when you need to schedule an event and you are not sure if something else is planned, or you

for more details, or may need directions to get there. Instead of having to call and play phone tag for
these details, consider using the new employee calendar program. It may help plan, simplify
scheduling, and ease remembering event details.

Some events and meetings are sponsored and listed for specific audiences. Other events are open
to the public. You can access the calendar in, just a few easy steps (or clicks):
1. Go to the Tompkins County Home Page (www.tompkins- co.org).
2. Then to the Jobs link (Personnel Department page), Training and Development (link), and
then Calendar (link).
3. Once the Web Events calendar program opens, click on Guest User, choose the Employee
Calendar, and then choose View Selected Calendar.
Additional event details (like locations, presenters, registration info, fees, etc) are available by clicking
on the event. You can view the calendar at the office or from any computer with web access whenever
it is convenient to you. The calendar can be viewed by day, week, month, or event. You can also go
back and forward several months.
NEW Training Lab and TC3 On -Line Classes
The Computer Training Lab on the ground floor in the Old Jail has re- opened. This two - person
room is designed to provide a comfortable and quiet location for one -on -one computer help,
independent on -line classes, two person project work, and self -paced CD -Rom computer training.
Please contact Diane Bradac or Naomi Arndt for questions or to reserve a time to use it.
TC3 is now offering over 11,000 courses on -line. These courses can generally be completed in 6 to 8
hours. Some of the topics are: Desktop Publishing, Operating Systems, Internet and Worldwide Web,
Customer Service, Team Leadership, and many others. A full list of the workshops being offered can
