County employees so rarely get the praise and recognition they deserve for the services they provide. Here are two instances of employees who deserve mention for their dedication and responsiveness to other's needs. If you know of other deserving employees, please let County Corridors know. HONORABLE MENTION LIFE SAVED! July 3, 1990 Roxanne Department of Motor Vehicles . 301 3rd Street Ithaca, NY 14850 ,, , W ear Roxanne, On March 27th I sent you all the information you needed to process the license for my car which was then registered in the ,,it” state of Illinois after having spoken with you a couple of times on ' 1 the phone. I soon received everything I needed to have my car r a "MaR . registered by April 30th, though I would not physically be in the state until mid -May. le know 1 This letter is a long time coming, but I would like to let you o i how much I appreciate your meticulous handling of this situation. You were so helpful on the phone, and so clear in your directions to me, that everything went smoothly. Thank you so much. Every long - distance move carries with it many detailed aggrava- tions. If everyone did their job with as much concern and clarity as you did, a move would become something to enjoy rather than something to avoid! Please share this letter with your supervisor. I would like him/her to know that they have someone very special on their staff. Sincerely, (Ms.) Terry L. Programs are run through the academic year, as well as during the summer, providing kids with classroom training in job readiness skills and basic life skills, such as balancing a checkbook and using community resources.
