HomeMy WebLinkAbout1985-02-05n U Town of Dryden February 5th, 1985 Zoning Board of Appeals The Zoning Board of Appeals met on February 5th, 1.985 with members Nick La Mott, Chr, Bob Keech, Don Rose, and Zoning Officer, Sib Stewart IL present. The meeting was called to order by Chr. Keech at 7;40 P.M. to consider the application of Margaret Kandrach and W. C. Ghiorse for a building permit to build an addition to their house at 529 Ellis Hollow Creek Rd. and are requesting a variance to Sec. 703 of the Town Zoning Ordinance which requires that a building be at least 15 feet from a side property line. W. C. Ghiorse was present asking for a variance of three feet. No one was present to speak for of against the granting of this variance. An E 12 was filled out by the applicant and'a negative declaration. The addition will come 121 feet to the lot line. There is a vacant lot on the other side of. the lot line. On motion by Keech, second by La.Mott and with all members voting, cast a unanimous ballot in favor of granting this variance, HEARING II 7:50 P.M. The public hearing to consider the application of Bernard & Karol Hicks of 268 Cortland Rd. to sell new furniture at their storage warehouse on Livermore Rd. and are requesting a variance to Sec. 801 and 802 of the Town Zoning Ordinance which does not give this as an allowed use in<an R C Zone, Neither Bernard or Karol Hicks could be present. Zoned R C. The Town Attorney ruled a variance should be sought and not a special permit. One person, Mrs. Grinnell of 266 Cortland Rd. was present to ask what an R C Zone is. Her only concern was that she did not want the area rezoned. The public hearing closed at 7;59 P.M. HEARING III 8;00 P.M. .The public hearing for Edward J. business and a machine shop at 1.808 variance to Sec. 801. and 802 of the not allow these uses in an R C Zone. Ambis to have a paint and sign Hanshaw Rd. and is requesting a Town Zoning Ordinance which does Present was Edward and Rrrn;ndy. Wayne Stokes will also be involved. Nick LaMott asked questions about what kind of zone it is. Sib Stewart said it is an R C Zone, Don Rose moved that the variance be granted, seconded by Nick LaMott VOTE - all yes - variance granted. Hicks hearing reopened. Bob Keech moved,to grant variance. VOTE - all yes - variance granted. The only concern of Don Rose was that they didn't seem very concerened as they had no representative present. 1 11 Meeting adjourned at 8*20 P.M. Respectfully submitted, FA
