at 7 : 30 p . m .
PRESENT : Chairman Barbara Holcomb , Robert Christianson , Liese
Bronfenbrenner , Maurice Harris , David Martin , Sam Slack , Lawrence

The Meeting was called to order by the Chair at 7 : 35 p . m .
PRESENTATION OF PROPOSED CONSTRUCTION PLANS FOR NEW TOMPKINS COUNTY
HOSPITAL
Mr . Larry Hoffman of Levatich miller Hoffman , Architects , presen -
ted the plans for and a model of the proposed new Tompkins County
Hospital ,
The proposed new building will contain 223 beds , will have four
levels and comprise 240 , 000 sq . ft . The present Nurses ' Residences
will be replaced by this proposed building , 152 , 000 sq . ft . of the
present hospital building is so far undesignated „ At this time , it
is probable that part of the existing hospital building will house
the hospital Gaministration . The new hospital building will be con-
structed on the site of the present Nurses ' Residences ,
The wings containing the operating rooms can expand horizontally .
The wings containing the Nurses ' areas can expand vertically . The
proposed building is an energy conservation building , The proposed
hospital will contain 2 / 3 - 1 / 3 semi -private - Private rooms ,
Mr . Hoffman discussed in detail each floor level , The building
is designed to permit easy flow of traffic , both human and material .
It is hoped that the bid for site preparation may go out by March
1st , 1976 .
Mr . Hoffman described the drainage systems and after his presenta -
tion conducted a question and answer period ,
The Meeting was adjourned at 9 : 45 p . m ,
