TOWN OF ITHACA PLANNING BOARD
January 2 , 1973
A regular meting of the Town of Ithaca Planning Board was held
on Tuesday , January 2 , 1973 , in the Town Offices at 108 East Green
Street , Ithaca , New York, at 7 : 30 p . o .
PUSENT : Chairoan.. Barbara Holcoub , Jack Lowe , Daniel Baker ,
Robert Christianson , Maurice Harris , Peter Francese ( Planning Consul-
tant ) , Ken Kroohs (Assistant Planning Consultant ) .
ABSENT : Robert Scannell , Arnold Albrecht , Sara Slack .
ALSO ITZESENT ; Mr . Norbert Schickel Mr . John MacDonald ( atto;:-
ney) , Mr . Phil White , Mr . Mark Haag , Mr . Herbert Mahr , and three or
four other interested citizens together with the neobers of the press .
Mrs . Holcoob called the meeting to order at 7 : 30 p . oe
DREW SUBDIVISION EXTENSION,
Mrs . Ho14: onb stated that there has been conditional approval of
the extension to the Drew Subdiv .sion ( 21 lots ) subject to Health
Department approval and Deed of Transfer for that triangular piece of
land in . the road owned by Mr . Drake . Mrs . Holcoob said that Mr .
Aroand Adams , Mir . brew ' s attorney ; has been in to see her and he
stained that as of this date the Health Departoent has approved the
i subdivision extension with a letter with the .; exceptioh of two ; lots - -
nunbers 34 . 39 and ;34 . 40 . These , were not included because t:heIy are
heavy clay in ceirtain ateasi Further soil testing was prevented by
the weather . It. is Mrsl Holcopb ' s ; opinion that the Health Departoent
will approve the .ots in question in the future as two separate lots
cocabined into oned The two Dodds , dated 12/ 12/ 72 and 12/ 14/ 72 respec-
tively ; have . becm filed showing the transfer of land in the Vera Circle
right of way .
Mr . Francese said that his question is what access do we have
to land behind this developoent? Mr . Baker stated that there is a
continuation of Woodgate which will give access .
Tide approval of Mr . Drew ' s Subdivision with the exception of
lots 34 . 39 and 34 . 40 is now cooplete .
Mrs , Holcoob stated further that Vera Circle is not yet a Town
P1oad . The acceptance of the road by the Town Board was only condi»
tional on acceptance by Mr . Morey , the Town Highway Superintendent
and acceptance of the Deed by the Town Attorney .

Mrs . Holcoob noted that at the Public Hearing nobody said any-
thing about the: site plan itself . There has been a great deal of
time spent in the office durin the past two weeks lookingat the
plan and several discussions with Mr . Schickel . �
Mr . John. MacDonald Mr . Schickel ' s attorney , stated that in
connection with Robertsons land and the Orcutt land there is a line
