HomeMy WebLinkAbout1998-07-13 -BZA DRAFT L5 Ulysses Zoning Board of Appeals July 13 , 1998 Present: Chair George Tselekis, Ken Christianson, Carl Mann, Building Inspector Alex Rachun, and Jim Proctor Recording minutes : Deb Austic George called the meeting to order at 7 : 30 p . m . to consider the application for a height variance for an accessory building by Jim Proctor at 3235 Agard Road . Jim • explained the building would be 31 ft in height, with a 5 / 12 pitch and used for machinery storage and repair. Six neighbors were notified with no response except Carl said his parents had no problem with the building . Alex explained that Proctor was trying to become more in compliance with the guidelines of a home occupation by building an accessory building for machinery . Jim stated the business had been present for 36 years . Carl made a motion that the variance was not substantial , there would be no increase in population, there would be no detriment to the neighborhood, there was no feasible alternative, and in the interests of justice the variance be approved . Ken seconded the motion . The Board voted. Carl — AYE Ken — AYE George — AYE The motion passed and variance was granted. Carl made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Ken and passed unanimously . The Board adjourned at 7 : 37 p . m .
