Home My WebLink AboutPB Minutes 1970-01-13 ' • f 1 TOWN OF ITHACA PLANNING BOARD JANUARY 139 1970 The regular meeting of the Town of Ithaca Planning Board was held January 13 , 1970 , in the Town of Ithaca offices , 108 E . Green Street , Ithaca , New York. Present : Chairman Robert Scannell , Fred Scott , Robert Christianson , Paul Tavelli , Wait Schwan , Peter Francese ( Plan- ning Consultant ) , Barbara Holcomb . Robert Scannell was appointed as Chairman . Paul Tavelli agreed to act as Vice - Chairman for a period of six months . ` WTKO WTKO representative asked for recommendation from the Planning Board to change the zoning on King Road from resi - dential to commercial for the purpose of erecting four towers . Peter Francese , Planning Consultant , recommended this rezoning for this specific purpose only , provided WTKO comply with all zoning requlations . Mr . Paul Tavelli suggested a public hearing at next month ' s meeting to allow the public to voice their opinion on the construction of such towers . Peter Francese will notify the people directly involved . TOMPCO Representatives from ,T CO were present to ask for a preliminary approval of it plan . A motion was made by Robert Christianson , sec ded by Paul Tavelli , for prelim- inary approval of the TOMPCO plan with follow-up hearing next month for final approval . It' Vras unanimously approved . ATTORNEY EDWARD KING - GARDEN APTS . PLAN Attorney Mwai"NMEg presen ed the plan for the Garden Apartments that was approved at the last meeting , subject to amendments to refuse disposals , landscaping , and possible road connection. It as recommended that a half - cover be placed on the refuse disposals at the apartments . A motion was then made by Paul Tavelli to accept the site plan with amendments . The motion was seconded by Bob Christian on , and unanimously passed . rr L n� January 13 , 1970 Page 2 ROCCO LUCENTE - MAPLE WOOD DRIVE SUBDIVISION_ A motion was made by Paul Taveili to give final approval on the Maple Wood Drive subdivision . It was se-c•onded by Arnold Albrecht , and unanimoulsy passed . CHANGE IN MEETING DATE Discussion was held about changing the meeting date of the Planning Board . It was unanimously decided to hold the Town of Ithaca Planning Board meetings on the third Tuesday of each month , starting with our February meeting . PETER FRANCESE - AGENDA FOR MEETING Peter Piaiicese announced that agendas for future meetings will be sent out to all Board members and also give _-i to the local paper and WTKO . A motion was made by Robert Christianson that anything to be put on the agenda for the Planning Board must be sub - mitted to the Planning Consultant at least 10 days before the meeting.
