PLANNING BOARD

June 10 , 1969
The Regular Meeting of the Town of Ithaca Planning Board was
held June 10 , 1969 , at the Town of Ithaca offices , 108 E . Green St .
Present : Chairman Walter Schwan , Arnold Albrecht , Daniel Baker ,
James Boodley , Reginald Collins , Robert Scannell , Paul Tavelli
and Secretary Lempi Sincebaugh . Also : Edward King , Esq . repre -
senting Kennilworth Associates , Sue Strandberg , Ithaca Journal ,
Randall Jones , D . Virgil , relresentative from Matt Associates
in Syracuse , Victor Caruso , Syracuse Architect . , Mary Margaret
Carmichael , Mr . and Mrs . Roger Livesay , Mrs . Krook , John Yengo ,
Mr . and Mrs . Imre Kovach , Mr . and Mrs . G . Gnstanian , and about
10 other interested parties .
ITHACA PLAZA
Edward King appeared on behalf cf the Kennilworth Associates
requesting approval for rezoning two parcels of property in
the Barnes tract ; one , a gore , to be rezoned to Business C so
as to be compatible with the remainder of the C zoned land . A
second request , that of a 2 -acre multiple residence zone , they
asked be rezoned to Business D .
Upon motion of Mr . Scannell , it was resolved to request
rezoning of the gore , specifically described as # 1 , to Business
C . Mr . Boodley seconded the motion , which was carried .
Mr . Scannell further moved to take no action on rezoning
the 2 -acre parcel to Business D . Mr . Tavelli seconded this
motion , which also carried .
MORMON CHURCH SITE PLAN
Randall Jones was present to seek approval for the above
site plan in the Burleigh Drive area .
Upon motion of Mr . Collins , with second by Mr . Albrecht ,
unanimously carried , approval was given to the plan .
F . CHASE SUBDIVISION
Mr . Chase resubmitted subdivision plans for one lot on
Muriel Street and four lots on Tareyton Drive . Mr . Tavelli
moved to grant preliminary approval , with final approval based
on larger parking areas and also upon drawing the building to
scale . Mr . Collins seconded the motion which unanimously
carried .

KING ROAD MULTIPLE DWELLING PROPOSAL
Mr . Virgil and Mr . Caruso appeared on behalf of this
proposed building plan at the Danby Road intersection . The
developers will be a syndicate , composed of as yet unknown
parties . Under consideration are multiple units with 20 apart -
ments per building and business establishements .
Objections were heard regarding traffic and also to any
proposed establishment to sell alcoholic beverages . ; . -' '
No action resulted .
Meeting adjourned at 9 : 45 .
