HomeMy WebLinkAboutPB Minutes 1969-04-08 TOWN OF ITHACA PLANNING BOARD April 8 , 1969 The Regular Meeting of the Town of Ithaca Planning Board was held April 8 , 1969 , at the Town of Ithaca offices , 108 E . Green Street , Ithaca . Present : Chairman Walter Schwan , Arnold Albrecht , Daniel Baker , James Boodley , Reginald Collins , Robert Scannell and Paul Tavelli , and Secretary Lempi Sincebaugh . Also David Cowan , Zoning Officer , Mrs . Gladice Woolf , Arthur Prince , Richard Blatchley , Rocco Lucente , Mrs . Krook , Mr . Cappucci and several other interested parties . WOOLF SUBDIVISION Mrs . Gladice Woolf appeared to ask preliminary approval of 30 lots on Woolf Lane , off DuBoice Road . They are 1 - 3 / 4 acre and 1 acre lots . She was informed that contour lines are needed on her map and that she could come back to the May meeting . PRINCE SUBDIVISION Objection was made to the road name of Christopher Cire_: le Extension . Suggestion : Christopher Lane . So moved and changed . BLATCHLEY SUBDIVISION Confirmation was given to Mr . Blatchley of prliminary approval on 2 lots fronting on Slaterville Road and 3 fronting on Honness Lane . Mr . Baker moved , seconded by Mr . Albrecht , to grant final approval to A , B , C , D and E as now marked on the Blatchley Subdivi � sion map . Unanimously carried . FRANK CHASE SUBDIVISION Mr . Scannell moved to give preliminary approval , with second to Mr . Collins , to one lot on Muriel and four on Tareyton Drive . Unanimously carried . LAND USE -NORTHEAST ELEMENTARY SCHOOL Motion by Chairman Schwan to approve land use for the Northeast Elementary School and recommend to Zoning Board of Appeals issue special approval required by the ordinance . Seconded by Mr . Scannell . Carried unanimously . "r{ Page 2 . April 8 , 1969 HIRING OF JOHN MC NEIL Mr . Boodley moved to request the Town Board to authorize the hiring of John McNeil , Land Surveyor , Cortland , for the purpose of Runoff study in the area of Warren , Winthrop and Brandywine , with the Town Board paying the full cost . Mr . Scannell seconded . Carried . LUCENTE SUBDIVISION Mr . Scannell motion to give preliminary approval on plan for 21 lots , Pinewood Drive , dated April 1969 . Mr . Baker second . Unanimously carried . REQUIREMENT FOR DEVELOPERS Mr . Scannell motion to require developers requesting rezoning to notify property owners and other residents within 1000 feet and any others the Planning Board may designate . Such notice shall be by mail and shall state the type of use contem- plated , name and location of property in question and such notice shall be at least five days prior to the public hearing date .
