HomeMy WebLinkAbout1998-05-11 - BZA Town of Ulysses Zoning Board of Appeals May 11 , 1998 Present : Chair George Tselekis, Carl Mann, Jim Hickey , Building Inspector Alex Rachun, and Steven Grahling . Recording minutes : Deb Austic George called the meeting to order at 7 : 34 p . m . The Board reviewed the application for a variance from Steven Grahling at 7076 Searsburg Road . The application was for three variances and all are very close to conformance . The house was 65 feet from the center of the road, not quite 15 feet from the side yard, and 170 feet of road frontage . Grahling said he was presenting the largest possible scenario and the addition may turn out smaller. Only part of the addition would be two-story . Six neighbors were notified and none responded . Jim made a motion that whereas the variation was not substantial , and whereas there would be no impact on government facilities or increase in population, and whereas there would be no change in the character of the neighborhood, and whereas there would be no detriment to adjoining properties, and whereas there would be no other feasible method to pursue the goals, in the interests of justice the variance be granted . Carl seconded the motion and the board voted . Jim — AYE George — AYE Carl — AYE The motion P assed and variance was granted . Carl made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Jim and passed unanimously .
