It was reported by Saunders that K . C . Parsons would report on his survey of the John Lgrion subdivision at a latter meeting . The Wow sub-division is now being engineered by Toa: Willer and maps are being prepared for presentation at a later date . It was reported by Phillips that . the proposed Zoning Ordinance was being printed for the public hearing ; Yotion by Wiggins , second by Saunders that a final zoning map be prepared by the regional planning board and the zoning schedule be printed on the reverse side for the public hearing . Yotion carried . • Submitted by Phillips to the board was a traffic survey taken by Cornell and two alternate routes for the proposed road from Warren Road to Pleasant Grove Road through the Cornell and Country Club golf courses . One alternate by the G . I . R . P . B . and the other by Cornish , golf course architect.. It was announced that the Town Board will hold a public hearing on the proposed Zoning Ordinance at the court house on April 21st at 7 : 30 P .M. Meeting adjourned at 9 :05 P . P . Waring Secretary kn RESOLUTION • Whereas the Ithaca Torn Board upon the recommendation of the Ithaca Town Planning Board placed alternate Rt# 1 on the official town maps and , Whereas a reexamination and reappraisal of all of the facts and circumstances relating to the future construction of said alternate Rt# 1 has been shade whereby it has been determined by said Planning Board that , among other things , certain plans for the construction of a Parried student housing project has been made by Cornell University within the location of said alternate Rt# 1 , and that the same had been in progress at considerable expense for several years prior to the location- of said road by the town , and Whereas by such reappraisal the Town Planning Board has determined that the portion of alternate Rt# 2 East of Pleasant Grove Road would serve the interests of the citizens of the Town of Ithaca equally as well provided that the conditions hereinafter set forth are accepted by Cornell University , Now therefore to it resolved 1 . That the Town Planning Board does hereby recommend to the Town Board that alternate Rt# 2 as the same is described on page 29 of Ithaca Urban Area General Plan be placed upon the official town map . 2 . That the Town Planning Board does hereby recommend to the Town Board that alternate Rt## 1 be withdrawn as an official town road provided that the following conditions are accepted in writing by Cornell University . A . Certification by Cornell University, that it has no plans pending for the development of the portion of land to be occupied by alternate Rt# 2 . B . Certification by Cornell University that no damage other than the cost of relocating a portion of its golf course shall be sustained by Cornell University as a result of the construction of said alternate # 2 . C . A grant by Cornell University to the Town of Ithaca of a right of way over and across any and all property owned by it within the bounds of alternate Rt# 2 as the same is described on the map of the Greater Ithaca Regional Planning Board , whenever it shall be determined by a traffic engineer to be selected by the Ithaca Town Board and Cornell University that the safety and welfare of the citizens of the Town of Ithaca shall require the construction of said alternate Rt# 2 . D . Construction of a road by Cornell University from Dearborn Place - Triphammer intersection to Pleasant Grove Road at the proposed student apartment site . E . Cornell University shall retain for future road development the portion of alternate Rt## 2 West of Pleasant Grove Road . F. Cornell University shall cooperate with the Town of Ithaca for the purpose of locating an extension or diversion of Warren Road traffic to • Route #13 in the area East of the Veterinary College .
