Dear Mr . Gordon :
We hereby request a permit from the Town Boardof the Town of Ithaca
to operate a re: staurant, under the conditions outlined im a variance recent-
ly granted by -the. Board of . .Zoning . Appeals of the Town of Ithaca for the form-
er Babcock house known locally as Sunny Gables and presently owned by
Mr . and Mrs . Joseph McConnell • This restaurant is the only one of its
type in the Town of Ithaca and will offer a needed service to the general
public . It will furnish empioyment , to several local people and at the same
time will prese3we the character of a local landmark which is, admired by
many people .
Our attorney has informed us that this application for a permit is
required by the .New York State Town Law : Revised Article IV , Section 11 ,
Paragraph 5 .
