Armstrong , manager of Knight Paving Products , was present and said that he -had not much to add to any past statements that had been made con- cerning the status of Knight Paving . He stated that Knight Paving was going to go ahead with the planting of shrubs and trees to screen the plant and trucks . This work is to progress as rapidly as possible using their own truck drivers . The question of permission to erect additional tanks was placed on the Board of Zoning Appeals . It was pointed out to the board that any change in zoning from residential to industrial would permit un- limited expansion of:tfie Knight Paving business or a switch to any other industrial use if Knight decided to abando# the present use of the property . Since this is apparently not the intention of Knight Paving Products according to the statements before the Planning Board and the Board of Zoning Appeals . The change to industrial use would serve little purpose . The representatives from Knight ' s said that they would try to co -operate in every way with the people of the area in cutting down noise , planting screening material , and doing anything reasonable to get along with the people of the: neighborhood . Mrs . Gladys Wolf and Walter Wolf , Jr . appeared with a preliminary map of their property on the TrumansburgRoad . The plan indicates a road from the Trumansbu.rg Road through to the DuBoise Road . Intention is to develop approximately 700 feet of this road at the present time . The Planning Board have its tentative approval to this plan and they asked that the Wolfs submit a complete preliminary map . Rocco Luceenn: i presented his final preliminary plans . These plans were refered to Tor . Watson and Boynton for final checking of drainage patterns , lot sizes , etc . Planning Board Meeting 2 A preliminary layout of the Dorris farm showing road development was approved by the Planning Board . Mx . Lucenti was given permission to rough in a service road to develop Winston ,Drive and Salem Drive through the Morris farm . This approval was only for location of a service road which will be eventually incorporated into the road pattern when the Morris farm is subdivided . There was discussion as to the other connecting roads but no decision was made because subdivisions of this land is not the subject under discussion at the meeting of April 2 . The Planning Board discussed the advisability of selecting development areas for schools as well as business and industrial areas . It is the feeling of the Board that these areas should be set aside at the present time so that development patterns can have an ordinary course in the future . A rough map of the Dennis property on Coddington Road was presented to the Board . Plant , commercial and light industrial zones dere discussed . The paragraphs of the zoning ordinance of the city of Rome relative to the subject of such zones were read . Mr . Matson is going to prepare a recom- mendation for a change in the Ithaca zoning ordinance to incorporate these ideas . Meeting adjourned .
