Delegates from the Tarryton Drive section of the Town presented a petition requesting - that the area in the vicinity of Warren Road , Christopheh Circle , Muriel Street and Tarryton Drive be rezoned to insure that the erection of buildings for housing more than two families be prohibited .. The following representative of the area were present , Charles L . Laenger Sr . , 207 Tarryton Drive , Charles V . R. Townsend , 222 Tarryton Drive ,, Robert B . Fiske , 204 Roat Street and Rodney 0 . Berger . A detailed discussion on the proposed apartment houses by Rocco Lucente on Tarryton Drive followed : Mr . Liguori pointed out that under the present requirement of the Health Department , Mrs Lucente can build only two apartment houses on the existing six or seven lots . However, the restriction will undoubtedly be lifted when public water supply is available and Mr . Lucente could presumably then build additional apartment units . Discussion then followed on ways and means of amending the zoning laws to provide restriction on apartment houses . Two avenues of approach were considered . The first of these called for an amendment to the zoning ordinance setting up a new residential classification in which the residence of more than two dwelling units would be prohibited . The second of approach is through restriction of lot sizes for apartment units constructed in residential areas to reduce the population density . The Board will look into the feasibility of both schemes and at a later date a . joint meeting will be held with the Town Board of Appeals . Amendment will then be submitted to the Town Board with recommendations . The question came up qjs to whether or not a sub-divider can legally change the lot lines in a subdivision once the plan is filed with the County Clerk. Mr . Gordon -will look into the realty law to determine the legality of a change in lot sizes in subdivisons . FP.ank R. Liguori , Secretary
