TOWN OF ITHACA
October 25 , 1956

PRESENT : WATSON , PHILIPS , VASSE , LIGUORI , GORDON , KRAVETZ , BAITER .AND BOYNTON
Mr . W . L . WOOLI?E and Son presented a proposal for the development of a
subdivision between the Trumansburg and DuBoice Roads . Mr . Woolfe
exhibited a sketch of the proposal which includes the construction of
several new roads including one connecting the Trumansburg and DuBoice
Roads . Mr . Woolfe proposes to do the road construction on a piece meal
basis and does not wish to submit a plan showing the whole layout . It
was explained to him that it would be necessary to Show the complete lay-
out .
Mr . Liguori discussed the new forms for use in reviewing subdivision plans .
They were accepted by the Board .
Mr . Kravetz , representing LaGrande Chase , presented a plan of the Ridgecrest
subdivisioh proposal . The plan was reviewed and discussed . It was accepted
and Mr . Kravetz was informed that he cbuld proceed with final plans . Mr .
Kravetz was advised that if it is proposed to provide space for a shopping
center , a notat ion to this effect should be shown on the plans so that all
lot purchasers will have knowledge of the proposal .
The Board discussed the effects of additional surface run off from newly
• developed subdivisions and ways and means of planning for the increased
drainage . Mr . Gordon was asked to look into the legality of a policy
which would require a subdivision to increase drainage pipes under
driveways and elsewhere if it was determined/that the increased run off
will require larger pipes .
Mr . Gordon informed the Board that Elmer Hurst has been reappointed to
the Board for a 5 year term .
It was decided to hold regular meetings on the 2nd Wednesday of each
month .
There was a discussion of the Town Zoning Ordinance in relation to the
use of lands zoned as Agricultural . The Town Board is considering an
amendment which will clarify the use of Agriculture land . It was decided
to table any recommendations to the Town Board until a later meeting . Tte
