HomeMy WebLinkAboutTB Minutes 1972-08-14TOWN OP ITHACA ADJOURNED BOARD MEETING August l4, 1972 Following a regular meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Ithaca- held on August 7, 1972, which was adjourned, an adjourned meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Ithaca, Tonlpkins County, New York, was held at the Town of Ithaca Offices at IO8 East Green Street, Ithaca, New York, on the l4th day of August, 1972, at 5:00 p.m,, at which there were PRESENT: Walter J# Schwan, Supervisor f* Andfew W, McElwee, Councilman 1 I Noel Desch, Councilman _ Robert N. Powers, Councilman ALSO PRESENT: James V, Buyoucos, Town Attorney Mrs, Barbara Holcomb, Chairman, Planning Board Peter K, Prahcese, Planning Consultant Mkrion Morey, Highway Superintendent Paul Windt, Lozier Engineers James Dunlap, Lozier Engineers Robert Butler, Lozier Engineers Supervisor Schwan called the meeting to order at 5:10 p.m. PUBLIC HEARING, SEPTEMBER 11, 19724 ACQUISITION OP WATER SUPPLY SOURCE, BOLTON POINT. . Supervisor Schwan read a Public Notice received from the Department of Environmental Conservation, Edwin L* Vopelak, Chief, Bureau of Water Regulation, Division of Resource I^ianagement Services, dated August 10, 1972, at Albany, New York, giving notice that a Public Hearing will be held in. the Town Hall of the Town of Ithaca, 108 East Green Street, Ithaca, New York, on the 11th day of September, 1972, at 1:00 o'clock in the afternoon, for the purpose of hearing all persons, waterworks corporations, municipal corporations or other civil divisions of the State of New York that may be affected by the , execution of the plans of the Towns of Ithaca, Dryden, Lansing and the Village of Cayuga Heights for the acquisition of a source of water supply by the construction of a water intake, a pump station and water treatment plant at Bolton Point on Cayuga Lake, and a water transmission system to provide water to the existing water systems in the Towns of Lansing, Ithaca, Dryden and the Village of Cayuga Heights, Tompkins County, New York, Motion by Supervisor Schwan; seconded by Councilman McElwee; RESOLVED, that the September 11th, 1972, regular Board meeting of the Town of Ithaca, be postponed to September l8th, 1972.
