SPECIAL TOWN BOARD MEETING
March 5 , 1994
Present : Supervisor Doug Austic ; Councilpeople Catherine Stover ,
Ben Curtis ; Deputy Clerk Paula Mount .
Supervisor Austic called the meeting to order at 9 : 10 am .
Procurement Policy : Discussion ensued . First page of policy ,
Item # 2 . . . put a period after " favoritism will be avoided . "
D elete rest of Item # 2 .
Item # 6 ( d ) . . . delete $ 150 / 400 and leave it at $ 150 .
N o other corrections / deletions made . Will wait to retype until
Mr . Meeker has time for input .
P ayroll Policy : Item # 2 ( a ) . . . third sentence , delete " However ,
those " and " exempted " . . . should then read " Employees shall
maintain daily record " No other comments / changes noted .
Investment Policy : Page 3 ( a ) agreement was misspelled . Change
120 days to 270 days . Also list of banks to be changed to read :
Marine Midland , Tompkins County Trust Company , Fleet Bank and
H orizon Bank . A statement will be written to cover any other
institution that may hold securities . No other comments / changes
noted .
Travel / Training / Education Policy : After much discussion , Mr .
Curtis offered to bring in a couple of other policies from other
municipalities to review . This policy is now on hold .
Hearing no further business , the meeting was adjourned at
10 : 45am .
