Present: Herb Engman, Supervisor; Bill Goodman, Pat Leary and Rod Howe and Paulette

Mr. Engman called the meeting to order at 12:56 p.m.
TB Resolution 2015-126: Recognition of Larry Salmi's Dedicated Years of Service to the
Community
Whereas, Larry Salmi, Heavy Equipment Operator, started his career as a temporary highway
laborer on June 24,1985; and
Whereas, Larry was appointed as a permanent full-time highway employee effective January 1,
1987, and has served continuously since that date; and
Whereas, effective October 31, 2015, Larry has chosen to retire from his employment with the
Town's Public Works Department, after thirty (30) years of dedicated service; and
Whereas, Larry was a responsible and highly dedicated snow plow driver, often working many
hours of overtime needed to provide safe roadways; and
Whereas, Larry always represented the town well as he was often sent with a large dump truck
to work with other communities when they had trucking needs; and
Whereas, for many years Larry provided guidance and historical insight as a dedicated Public
Works representative on the Employee Relations committee; and
Whereas, the Town of Ithaca has greatly benefited from Larry's devotion, expertise, and his
desire to serve our community in order to make it a better place to live; now, therefore, be it;
Resolved, that the Town Board of the Town of Ithaca, on behalf of the Town and its citizens,
expresses its sincere appreciation, admiration, and gratitude to Larry Salmi for his
distinguished and dedicated service to our community.

Vote: Ayes - Howe, Goodman, Leary and Engman
