TOWN BOARD MEETING
SPECIAL MEETING - JULY 25, 2003
PRESENT :
Supervisor: Fredric Dietrich
Councilpersons : Joel Gagnon , Norbert Nolte, Naomi Strichartz, Gladys Varona-Lacey
Others Present :

A special meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Danby was called by Supervisor Dietrich at
6 : 00 p . m. to approve the closing of New York State 96B for a parade scheduled for Saturday, July
26, 2003 .
A motion was made by Councilperson Strichartz and seconded by Councilperson Varona-Lacey that
the Town Board of the Town of Danby approves of waiving the time requirement for a special
meeting.
A roll call vote on the motion resulted as follows :
Gagnon Aye
Nolte Aye
Strichartz Aye
Varona-Lacey Aye
Dietrich Aye Carried Unanimously
The following resolution was introduced to the Board by Supervisor Dietrich
RESOLUTION NO. 51 OF 2003
APPROVAL OF CLOSING OF NYS RTE. 96B FOR THE JULY 25, 2003 PARADE
By Councilperson Gagnon : Seconded by Supervisor Dietrich
RESOLVED, that the Town Board of the Town of Danby in compliance with the New York State
Section 1604 paragraph 2 of the Vehicle and Traffic Law which authorizes a town to close the road
for a parade officially is closing New York State Route 96B on Saturday, July 26, 2003 from 11 : 00
a. m. to noon from the intersection of East Miller and West Miller Roads to the intersection of Bald
Hill Road and 96B ; and
BE IT FURTHER
RESOLVED, that there will be a detour route from West Miller Road to Comfort Road, left on
Comfort Road to Lieb Road, left on Lieb Road to Bald Hill Road, left on Bald Hill Road to NYS
Route 96B .
A roll call vote on the motion resulted as follows :
