ADJOURNED BOARD MEETING
October 14 , 1980
At an Adjourned Meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Ithaca ,
Tompkins County , New York , held at the Town Offices at 126 East
Seneca Street , Ithaca , New York , at 12 : 00 o ' clock noon , on the
14th day of October , 1980 , there were
PRESENT Noel Desch , Supervisor
George Kugler , Councilman
Shirley Raffensperger , Councilwoman
Marc Cramer , Councilman
Henry McPeak , Councilman
ABSENT Victor Del Rosso , Councilman
Catherine Valentino , Councilwoman
ALSO PRESENT Lawrence Fabbroni , Town Engineer
Norbert H . Schickle , Sr .
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
The Supervisor led the assemblage in the Pledge of Allegiance .
EASTWOOD COMMONS
RESOLUTION NO . 177
Motion by Supervisor Desch ; seconded by Councilman Cramer ,
RESOLVED , that the Town Board of the Town of Ithaca hereby accepts
from Eastwood Commons Development Company , upon the recommendation
of the Town Highway Superintend and the Town Engineer , that portion
the road known as Strawberry Lane .
( Desch , Kugler , Raffensperger , Cramer and McPeak voting Aye . Nays
none ) ,
RESOLUTION N0 , 178
Motion by Supervisor Desch ; seconded by Councilman Cramer ,
RESOLVED , that the Town Board of the Town of Ithaca hereby approves
the transfer of the letter of credit from Eastwood Commons in the
amount of $ 1 , 000 to a proposed road to be called Strawberry Hill
Road .
( Desch , Kugler , Raffensperger , Cramer and McPeak voting Aye . Nays -
none ) .
RESOLUTION N0 , 179
Motion by Supervisor Desch ; seconded by Councilman Kugler ,
RESOLVED , that the Town Board of the Town of Ithaca hereby approves
the insertion of the local dollar share for the bikeway into the
Preliminary Budget , and
FURTHER BE IT RESOLVED , that the monies be appropriated from the
Park Funds .

none ) ,
Town Board Minutes - 2 - October 14 , 1980
Councilman Cramer asked about Revenue Sharing , does the Town need to
adopt a separate budget ?
Supervisor Desch answered no , the funds will remain unallocated .
Councilwoman Raffensperger stated that other Town were holding
Revenue Sharing Hearings .
Supervisor Desch answered how can you hold hearings when you don ' t
know what you will be receiving .
Supervisor Desch asked the Town Engineer if he had received any
feedback from the By - Pass Meeting .
Town Engineer Fabbroni stated that the meeting had been cancelled
and rescheduled for this afternoon .
BOLTON POINT WARRANTS
RESOLUTION NO . 180
Motion by Supervisor Desch ; seconded by Councilman Cramer ,
RESOLVED , that the Bolton Point Warrants dated October 14 , 1980 , in
the Operating Account are hereby approved , in the amount of
$ 49 , 205 . 57 after review and upon the recommendation of the Southern
Cayuga Lake Intermunicipal Water Commission they are in order for
payment .

none ) .

RESOLUTION NO . 181
Motion Councilman . Cramer ; seconded by Councilman McPeak ,
RESOLVED , that the Town Board of the Town of Ithaca hereby approves
the Town of Ithaca Warrants dated October 14 , 1980 , in the following
amounts :

DEPUTY TOWN CLERK
Supervisor Desch stated that he and Town Clerk Jean Swartwood would
begin interviewing candidates for the position of Deputy Town Clerk
this coming Monday .
