HomeMy WebLinkAbout2002-06-19 1 Planning Board Minutes June 19 , 2002 PLANNING BOARD MINUTES JUNE 19, 2002 Regular Meeting PRESENT : Acting Board Chair Robert Roe Planning Board Members : William Farrell , David Hall , Linda Hansen , Olivia Vent, Sarah Newman ABSENT : Laurene Gilbert Others Present Susan Beeners - Code Enforcement Officer Carol Sczepanski - Secretary Megan Morris - Summer Intern Michael Finn - Member of the Public Acting Chair Robert Roe called the meeting to order at 7 : 05 p . m. Proposed Golf Course - Comfort Road Susan Beeners submitted a site plan for a proposed natural golf course on his property located at 930 Comfort Road. There is an existing private golf course and he is proposing to open it to the public . The plan is to install a parking lot with ten ( 10) spaces and having users of the course to be by appointment only. The plan needs to be more specific indicating what new land impacts are there, what is going to be constructed, are there going to be improvements on the driveway, and the amount of traffic that will be generated . A SEQR must be completed for the project . The Board discussed how many people may be playing at the same time, length of time to play through the course, and what is the daily traffic expected to be . The hours the course is open to players may be different on week days and weekends . The proposed "Nine Tree Nature Golf' course application is for a Special Permit and a public hearing must be held by the Planning Board. The application could be completed and ready for a public hearing on July 17 , 2002 . The Board discussed scheduling the public hearing for the Finn proposal after discussion on when the July meeting will be Nardi Clustered Subdivision Susan Beeners reported that the Nardi Clustered Subdivision has been withdrawn as the property was sold . Comprehensive Plan Susan reported Sarah Newman and Megan have been working on updated drafts . Megan has cleaned up a lot of the language and clarified some of he inaccuracies and has incorporated notes into a new draft. A draft time line was submitted showing target dates for reviewing and completing the plan . The Dates on the draft are tentative and are suggested dates to complete the remaining work on the comprehensive plan. Susan Beeners said that there are some legal requirements related to having hearings by both the Town Board and the Planning Board . The full revised draft of the comprehensive plan will be transmitted to the Town Board in August as a courtesy for their review and to get their input. If there are major changes suggested they will return the document to the Planning Board . The first public hearing will not occur until the Town Board has tentatively approved of the draft document.
