TOWN BOARD MINUTES
SPECIAL MEETING - JULY 25, 2001

Supervisor Inman called the Special Meeting of the Board to order at 7 : 00 p .m. to consider approval
of a contract for insulation for the sidewalls in the Town Hall Meeting Room. A provision for
providing insulation was in the heating grant of $25 ,000 in 1997 . Two (2) bid proposals were
submitted for the Board to review.
Proposals submitted from the following were presented and reviewed by the Board.

Motion to Authorize Supervisor to Sign Contract for Insulation
A motion was made by Councilperson Gagnon and seconded by Gladys Varona-Lacey that the Town
Board of the Town of Danby authorize Supervisor Inman to a contract with Dundon Insulation, Inc . ,
dba The Insulation Man of 203 Treadwell Road, Windsor, New York 13865 to remove the existing
wood clapboards as necessary to access the exterior wall cavities, insert a wood baffle in the wall
where the siding was removed and drill through the baffle and insulate the exterior walls of the town
hall with R-22 Cellulose, and after insulating, remove the wood baffles and rehang the siding that was
removed to gain access for a cost of $ 5 , 800 . 00 .
A roll call vote on the motion resulted as follows :

Lighting and Fans in Meeting Room
Councilperson Gagnon reported he would like some discussion and feed back from the Board on
suggestions for the air circulation fans and lighting possibilities for the meeting room . He suggested
that possibly replacing the fans with reverse capability and lights attached might improve the lighting
and air circulation.

On a motion the meeting adjourned at 7 : 25 p .m.
