Dear Ed :
In response toyour letter of August 10 , 1978 regarding the
intersection street lighting program , we submit the following :
1 ) Blackstone at St . Catherine : Use existing Pole #4 , annual
cost $ 50 . 00 ( lamp charge only) .
2 ) Blackstone at Christopher Lane : Use 30 ' center-bored ( green)
wood pole ( as in Eastern Heights ) , annual est . cost . $ 125 . 00 i
includes 15 % charge and lamp ( fixture ) cost .
3 ) Dove Drive at Pheasant Lane - ( 2 ) locations : Use center-bored
30 ' posts , same as above ; annual est . cost of $ 230 . 00 , includes
both lamps and 15% charges .
4 ) Siena at St . Catherine - Center-bored 30 ' wood post , same as
above ; est . annual cost is $ 145 . 00 .
5 ) Snyder Hill and Dove ( upper entry) - Has existing overhead fixture
on wood pole already .
6 ) Snyder Hill at Dove ( lower) - Replace existing pole on corner ,
use overhead , wood pole ; annual cost $ 50 . 00 .
7 ) Lexington at Burleigh - Use overhead wood pole ( existing Pole # 10 ) ;
annual " cost $ 50 . 00 .
8 ) Fidler at Route 13A - we will set new overhead wood pole ; annual
cost $ 50 . 00 .
The cost estimates given for the underground - fed systems vary due
to length of trenching and remoteness of intersection post locations from
closest pull boxes . All fixtures are the standard mercury vapor 175 watt
units used throughout the Towris many residential intersections .
