ORGANIZATIONAL MEETING - JANUARY 24, 2018 AT 7:00 PM

Absent: Paul Fouts, Member (Attended by telephone for observation purposes only.)
Chair Schiele called the meeting to order at 7:09 pm.
RESOLUTION #1 FOR THE YEAR 2018 - ELECTION OF CHAIR
MOVED by Member Gaines, seconded by Member Cerretani
RESOLVED, that the Zoning Board of Appeals hereby elects Ted Schile as Zoning Board of Appeals Chair.
Ayes - Schiele, Darling, Gaines, Cerretani
RESOLUTION #2 FOR THE YEAR 2018 - ELECTION OF VICE CHAIR
MOVED by Chair Schiele, seconded by Member Gaines
RESOLVED, that the Zoning Board of Appeals hereby elects Carolann Darling as Zoning Board of Appeals
Vice Chair.

RESOLUTION #3 FOR THE YEAR 2018 - SET REGULAR MONTHLY MEETING DATE
MOVED by Member Darling, seconded by Member Gaines
RESOLVED, that the Zoning Board of Appeals hereby sets the fourth Wednesday at 7:00 pm as the regular
monthly meeting date and time for the Zoning Board of Appeals.

Discussion took place concerning the upcoming New York Planning Federation Conference in Lake George,
NY, April 22 - 24, 2018. The Town will pay expenses for Board Members to attend including registration,
hotel, meals, mileage, etc.
The Board had been given the changes that had been made to the Land Use & Development Code and
adopted by the Town Board on January 9, 2018. The changes were reviewed and discussed.
A discussion took place on possibly having an alternate member of the Board in case there is a time when a
member has a conflict of interest or is unable to attend a meeting for some other reason. The consensus of
the Board was that they felt no need to have alternates, but that they should keep the option open to discuss it
again in the future.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 7:13 pm.
