Dear Mr . `'chwan ,
I have your letter of Oct . 28th .
On each occasion that Mr . Fabrione has appeared at
my home to request my signature for the easement I have
pointed out to him , among other things , the damage likely
to ensue to our trees because of the work required to
lay the pipes . Two trees in particular , of very significant
value to our land and property , face certain destruction .
He assured us that the trench could be moved to lessen
the chances of such damage . No such change is marked on
the revised map you included . Likewise , at the very
beginning of our discussions we were assured that the
placement of the man-hole would be on Cornell ' s property ,
and not ours . Again , this assurance is not given expression
In the revised map .
The figure of $ 2000 which you offer is not sufficient
to compensate for the diminution in value . to our land and
property which will result from our granting the easement .
