TOWN OF ITHACA
Northview Road Park : work authorized
Salem Road Park : TI Planning Board has recommended that Town Engineer work out
with NE residents the problem of the pond and that work then proceed in Spring
Taney , Road Park : negotiations with School District for the development of DeWitt
playgrounds may change nature of plans for this park . Be that as it may , the
plans for this park are to be included in BOR request for matching funds ,
because of the projected costs .
East Ithaca Bikeway : Town Engineer authorized to determine willingness of owners
to give long term lease .
Coy °, Glen : contacts made with Cornell U. Nature Conservancy , interested TI cit . ;
next step should be a more formal contact with CG residents . To do this ,
some material must be prepared by the Town Engineer for presentation - a
written explaination of the proposed project , map , and material on the
various options for acquiring title to the land .
Some agreement must be worked out with Cornell , but because that situation
with the Treman estate is still in flux , that will come later - after
a firmer committment to the plan is made by CG residents *
so we await the pleasure of the Town Board - discudsed before - and the time of
the Town Engineer to prepare material for a Coy Glen presentation and subsequent
submittal of a BOR request for Coy Glen, Tar . Rd . , etc as a package . Where this
work will fit into the Highway Barn work , Road Survey , Transit Study , Sewer
project , Zoning Ordinance , etc - the Town Board should decide .
