AGENDA MEETING MINUTES
September 9 , 1998

Items Presented and discussed for the September 14, 1998 Board Meeting
1 ) Revised Draft - Comi Telecommunications Services Agreement
2) Public Hearing Dates are to be set for : Draft Local Law - Local Law Extending for an
Additional Ninety Days, a Moratorium for the Establishment of Adult Entertainment
Businesses; and A Draft Local Law - Local Law Extending for an Additional One Hundred
Eighty Days, A Moratorium for the Establishment of Adult Entertainment Businesses and
A Draft for a Local Law Amending the Town of Danby Zoning Ordinance Relating to Adult
Entertainment Businesses . Public Hearing dates will be set for the proposed local laws .
3 ) SPCA 1999 Contract - Councilperson Steiner agreed to report on the contract.
4) Dryden Highway Department has provided the Town with a survey to be returned to them
related to highway related items .
4) There is a seat on the County Youth Commission -- Appointment is for a three year term to
expire Dec . 31 , 2001 . Judy VanDermark is interested in serving for the Town of Danby.
5) The clerk will advertise in the Ithaca Journal and Danby Area News for interested persons
to contact the Town for a seat on the Youth Bureau Committee . (Need exact name of
committee and term of appointment. )
Supervisor Horst Reported :
1 ) Water test for the town hall was satisfactory;
2) Has received requests from interested agencies who would like to provide insurance quotes
for Town insurance .
3 ) Request from Tompkins County Fire and EMS Service would like to attend the October 7th
Agenda meeting to update Board on system changes for E911 .

4) Public Library Committee are requesting funding and support for communications
capabilities for our reading room .
5 ) Transfer of funds for General Fund Voucher No . 172 of 1998 in the amount of $2 ,000 . 00
from account A to A
6) The New York State Auditors will be scheduling an exit audit for early October.
7) Residents survey has been mailed and returns are coming in.
Councilperson Gagnon requested that Executive Sessions of the Board be scheduled at the Agenda
Meetings (when necessary) to save time at the regular board meeting .
Susan Beeners reported that the date for submission for the Proposed Strategic Plan for the Town
of Danby grant application deadline has been extended.
Councilperson Strichartz presented a resolution of acknowledgement for Amy Cusimano .teet-A-/ -.
