ALSO PRESENT .9 Lawrence P . Fabbroni , Town Engineer/Building Inspector . ABSENT . Shirley Raffensperger , Councilwoman BIDS ON CODDINGTON ROAD SEWER LINE - BIESDORF PROPERTY Mr . Fabbroni reported that five bids were received on the proposed sewer line on Coddington Road for the Biesdorf property *. ( 1 ) Hilker Construction Co . , Ingrahm Construction Co . ( Riehford , N . Y . ) , Dominger Excavating and Grading ( Brooktondale , N . Y . ) , LRS Excavating , Inc . ( Lansing , N . Y . ) , and Finger Lakes Construction . Finger Lakes Construction furnished the low bid of $ 3 , 353 . 00 . Mr . Fabbroni recommended accepting this bid . The specifications for the job were approved by the City of Ithaca Department of Public Works at their last meeting . Approximately 330 ft . of sewer line will be laid at about $ 10 . 00 a foot , which Mr . Fabbroni said was a reasonable price . The cost will be paid out of the surplus in the sewer fund . Motion by Councilman Desch ; seconded by Councilman McElwee , RESOLVED , that the low bid of Finger Lakes Construction Co . in the amount of $ 3 , 353 . 00 for the construction of about 330 feet of sewer line on the Biesdorf property on Coddington Road be accepted . Unanimously carried . TV EXTENSION TO TRINKL PROPERTY ON VERA CIRCLE Supervisor Schwan reported that Mr . Joseph Trinkl , 111 Vera Circle , has renewed his request for television cable service . Mr . Countryman of the Ceracche TV organization advises that Ceracche cannot extend the feeder cable on Elm Street . They must go back to Abbott ' s West Village in order to pick up the main feed . The ` alternative is to put it on ' the Mecklenburg Road . It appears Cer- acche will not count ( to meet the 20 house requirement ) the houses on the Sheffield Road or the Enfield Road , because they do not have a franchise with the Town of Enfield . Supervisor Schwan recommended if Mr . Ceracche will not serve this area , having him come before the Board for a review of the franchise . Mr . Countryman has prom- ised ' to set dorm on paper how far it will be necessary to run the cable , and it will then be possible , using the tax roll , to deter- mine how many houses there are on the line . In any event , whether a franchise is worked out with the Town of Enfield or not , the Supervisor felt that houses on both sides of the road should be counted to comply with the 20 -house formula . It should cover sub- scr Wers or " available " subscribers . The present understanding is that a franchise is being considered and worked out with the Town of Enfield at this time . ADJOURNMENT The meeting was duly adjourned at 6040 p . m . at which time the Board went into executive session to discuss setting a minimum price for the proposed sale of the Town barn .
