BUDGET 1998 WORK SESSION
OCTOBER 16 , 1997

The Board reviewed the Town of Danby Supervisor ' s Tentative Fiscal Year 1998 Budget as
presented and adjusted the following to reduce the General Fund Budget :
1 ) Salaries of all elected officials will remain at the Fiscal Year 1997 level . (No increase)
2) All town employee wages (bookkeeper, office assistant, code enforcement officer, and court
clerk) will receive a 2 . 5 % increase with the exception of the Highway Department.
3 ) Account A8020 . 100 - from $ 1740 . 00 to $ 1272 . 00 - the secretary will be paid $ 8 . 00 per
hour.
4) Account A8020 .4 - from $ 5695 . 00 to $ 1 , 011 . 00 - $200 . 00 transferred to A1345 .4 and a new
account No . A8020 . 401 in the amount of $ 1534 . 00 for Tompkins County Assistance .
5 ) Account No . A1410 . 2 increased to $3 ,400 include software for Williamson Clerk' s Package,
Training and maintenance contract necessary for N . Y . S . Reporting systems . A1410 . 1 to
remain at 1997 level .
