TOWN OF GROTON – MINUTES OF
SPECIAL TOWN BOARDMEETING
TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 15, 2005 AT 7:00 PM
THE TOWN HALL, 101 CONGER BOULEVARD
Those present:
Glenn E. Morey, Supervisor
Ellard L. Sovocool, Councilman
Donald F. Scheffler, Councilman
Absent:
Sheldon C. Clark, Councilman
Richard B. Gamel, Councilman
Also present:
Rick Case, April Scheffler.
The purpose of the special meeting was to set a time and date for a public hearing.
RESOLUTION #05-023 – SET PUBLIC HEARING
MOVED
by Supervisor Morey, seconded by Councilman Sovocool
Ayes - Sovocool, Scheffler, Morey
RESOLVED,
that the Town Board hereby sets a Public Hearing for March 8, 2005 at 8:00PM as
part of their regular monthly meeting for the purpose of public discussion and comment
regarding the 2005 Small Cities Grant Application.
Richard C. Case, Jr., Highway Superintendent,
was present to inform the Board that the
Highway Mechanic, Bob Bogardus had submitted his resignation. Mr. Case said that he
appreciated that Mr. Bogardus had given ample notice and was helping with the transition. Mr.
Bogardus had been a good employee who had served the Town well and he was wished the best.
Mr. Case has found a replacement, Randall Crispell.

RESOLUTION #05-024 – ACCEPT RESIGNATION OF ROBERT BOGARDUS
& HIRE RANDALL CRISPELL
MOVED
by Supervisor Morey, seconded by Councilman Sovocool
Ayes - Sovocool, Scheffler, Morey
RESOLVED,
that the Town Board hereby accepts with regret the resignation of Robert
Bogardus and be it
URTHER RESOLVED,
F that the Town Board hereby approves the hiring of Randall Crispell
as Highway Mechanic at the rate of $15.00 per hour effective Monday, February 21, 2005.
There being no further business, Councilman Sovocool moved to adjourn, seconded by
Councilman Scheffler. Unanimous.
