Engineer in hasten- ing the formation of these districts . Proposed Installation - East Ithaca Water District ' The Town Board has been working with Lozier Engineers in establishing the extension of a 10 " watermain in Pine Tree and Judd Falls Roads which will connect to an existingj6 inch main in Pine Tree Road belonging to the East State Street Extension Water District . The purpose is to provide a water supply for domestic , commercial and fire protection to an are ,, adjacent to Pine Tree and Judd Falls Roads . Due to the low pressure in this area , water for fire protection is not avail - able . 1George !jldeman owner of Ide ' s Bowling on Judd Falls Road is not able to get insurance because of this inadequacy . Other properties involved are Artifical Breeders and Cornell University who do not feel justified in participating in this added assessment . Mr . Kerr and seconded by Councilman Baker . # # # RESOLUTION 58 - GRIEVANCE DAY Voted resolved to set the time for hearing grievances on assessments June 20 , 196T between the hours of 10 : 00 A . McElwee to serve as an alternate . # # # RESOLUTION 59 - MOSQUITO CONTROL Voted resolveld to continue with the services of R . F . Pendleton for the current year at the quoted price of $ 900 . for spraying mosquito breeding areas of the town . # # # RESOLUTION 60 - MILEAGE- Assessor Voted resolved to reimburse Assessor Donald Franklin for travel exclusive from home to office involved in assessing new construction at the rate of 80 per mile - total bill amounting to $45 . 60 . Moved by Supervisor William B . Kerr and seconded by Councilman Gordon . # # # RESOLUTION 61 - SALARY- Custodian of Voting Machines Voted resolved to increase hourly rate for custodians services for voting machines from $ 2 . 50 per hour to $ 3 . 00 . Compensation for services of election inspectors was brought to the attention of the Board due to dissatisfaction with the present rate . It was decided to discuss this at greater length at the June meeting . RESOLUTION 62 - MAINTENANCE CONTRACTS - Of ice ae i.nes Voted resolved to sign agreements for the maintenance on the Friden Calculator at an annual rate of 44 . 00 and on the new I . B . M . typewriter at an annual rate of 37 . 98 • Gradall ". ". Superintendent of Highways Marion Morey reported to the Board that a second hand gradall in exceptionally good condition can be purchasedlfor $ 5 , 000 . The Town is presently renting it from Central New Cork Equipment Company . Mr . Morey indicated the rental on this machine can be applied toward ;. the purchase price . After the discussion the following resolution was duly passed . 5 - 8 -67 154 RESOLUTION 63 - GRADALL FOR HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT Voted resolved that Superintendent of Highways Marion Morey draw up specs and advertise for bids on a used Gradall , the purchase price not tosexceed $ 5 , 000 . RESOLUTION 64 - STREET LIGHT- - - DANBY ROAD Voted resolved to have a street light installed in front of the Jimmy Miller place on Danby Road because of a " blind spot " in the road which presents a traffic hazard . Motion made by Councilman Harry Gordon , seconded by Councilman Andrew McElwee and unanimously passed . RESOLUTION 65 - BOND RESOLUTION SOUTH H L TARY SEWER DISTRICT The following resolution was duly voted and passed . Bond Resolution dated May 8 , 1967 . RESOLUTION 69 - SUBSURFACE INVESTIGATION FOR ROCK Bundy Road -Mecklenburg Road an West Haven Road -Elm St . parcels of or wes t Distric Voted resolved to authorize the expenditure of a sum not to exceed $ 2 , 000 of currently budgeted Planning Funds to perform subsurface investigation to ascertain rock condition in the Bundy Road -Mecklenburg Road and West Haven Road -Elm Street parcels of the District . Miscellaneous Correspondence Sanitary Sewers - Coddington Road An informal petition containing 6 signatures of property owners on Coddington Road was received and presented to the Board requesting to be included in the sewer - water district in that area . The Board referred this petition to the engineer to investigate the feasibility and appropriate cost to provide these services . Koppers - Pittsburg , Pa . Application for Building Permit and Appeal to the Board of Zoning Appeals for changes proposed at local plant on Mitchell Street in the Town of Ithaca was brought to the attention of the Board .
