The Public Hearing was declared open at 6 : 00 P.M . by Supervisor Oltz and the following "Notice
of Publication" was read by Carol Sczepanski, Town Clerk.
"NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Town of Danby Town Board will hold a public hearing
on Monday, March 6, 1996 at 6 : 00 P.M. , Town Hall, 1830 Danby Road, Town ofDanby, Ithaca,
New York to review and discuss the proposed 1996 Small Cities program application to implement
a Town wide housing rehabilitation project. The hearing will include discussion of needs, program
policies, Federal requirements and the Abbreviated Consolidated Plan that must be prepared as
part ofthe application.
All interested parties will be given the opportunity to be heard either in writing or in person.

Karl Heck addressed the Board and stated that this the second public hearing for the Small Cities
• program application. There was one small change in the application. The application is completed
and the Town is a first time applicant for a Small Cities Grant. It is a one year $500,000 housing
rehabilitation grant application covering 26 houses in the Town ofDanby.
Mr. Hect submitted a Town of Danby Abbreviated Consolidated Plan to the Board to review. The
plan is adescription of the application and addresses the "Priority Community Development Needs. "
The Board extended a thank you to Mr. Hect for his dedicated work on the Town ofDanby Small
Cities Program Grant application.
Public Hearing Closed :
Supervisor Oltz declared the Public Hearing closed at 6 : 10 P. M .
