Chairman Gauthier called the meeting to order, present.wore, as follows, r Jon,Iiaight David Plew and Jacquelin Rosen. UIQ welcome a now member Dr.. David Finn, taking the place of Charles Finn, who resigned. REGARDING THE APPLICATION OI? ROBERT L. AND WIUiA ANN BLISS: After some discussion, Mr. Plew commenting that in his opinion that the best an ggre to fir. & Mrs.,Bliss's problem Might be'solved if they e®uld add another room to thesir present dwelling. Other members seemed to have the same opinion. Mr. Gauthier asked if the Board was ready to make.a decision, if so, he would like a motion. Therefore, Motion was made by David Plew, seconded by Jon Haight, that this application fora variance, be and is hereby denied. Chairman Gauthier called the meeting to order, with all members present as follows: David Finn David Plew Jon Haight Jacquelin Rosen In the matter of the application of Robert Fouts for a building permit to I i alter a house to have two apartments. This house is located on Old Groton Road and would be used as a rental property. 'I All members of the Appeals Board have had a chance to review the map and the application as presented by Iir. Fouts. Mr. Gauthier asked if any one would like to make a motion regarding this application. THEREFORE, Motion was made by Jon Haight, seconded by Rosen that this application be approved. This was unanimous and becomes Resolution # 2-85. Meeting is now adjourned. I Chairman Gauthier called the meeting to order with all members present as follows: David Finn David Plew Jon Haight Jacquelin Rosen In the matter of Philip A.Davis for a variance to permit him to have a mobile Home located on his property to house his father. Mr. Davis had stated on his application (by letter) that his father at 81 , having been a diabetic all his life, found it difficult to walk or climb stairs I The Appeals Board has reviewed this application and are aware that this is an R 1 District and Trailers are not permitted in these Districts After considerable discussion, Mr. Gauthier asked if anyone wished to make a motion. Therefore, motion was made by Plew, seconded by Rosen that this application for a variance, be denied. This motion was passed unanimously and becomes Resolution # 3-85. Meeting is now adjourned. M. Philip Davis (applicant) and three other's , not identified but representing Sylvia Seymour. ='a Having reviewed the application--of,Philip Davis for a variance in order to have a mobile hose attached -to his house and Having heard the letter by Mrs. Seymour, which repeated her objections to having a mobile home in a f residential district, the Appeals Board felt there could be no change in their decision as of April 2, 1985p a mobile home whether attached or not would stili be a mobile home and therefore are not permitted in R-1 District. i Therefore, motion was made by David'Plew, seconded by David Finn that this application for a variance be deniede This was unanimous. Brookins, , Secretary i Following a Public Hearing at 7:30 P.M., the Zoning Board of Appeals met in the Town Hall 15 Terrace Road, Cortlandville, October 17, 1985. r Chairman David Plew presided with the following members present, David Finn Jacquelin Rosen Oscar Taylor Jon,Haight was not present at this time. j Having -heard the comments regarding the application for a variance submitted J by Mr.r& Mrs. Rainbow -.,.of Salisbury Road, Town of Cortlandville and since no one appeared to object to this application, Mr. Plew asked the Board for a motion in regard to said appli'cation's i Therefore, motion was made by Oscar Taylor that the appli"cation.of Mr: -Mrs. Rainbow for a variance and building permit be approved. Other Business: i i Mr. Joseph Quinlan ( of Quinlan Bros.) 1 East Ave did not appear before the Board in regard to a request for clarification in relation to signs. Until the Zoning Board has more information they are unable to act on this request. Mr. Quinlan will be contacted at a later date.
