Y. 4 TOWN CLERK January 24, 1984, Meeting of the Zoning Board of Appeals at 15 Terrace Road, 7 :45 p.m. To consider the request of Charles D. Stanton, 5 Lamont Circle for a Variance in order to build on to his home. After a Public Hearing on the above request and in reviewing the application and i being aware of the reasons for such request Mr. Gauthier asked the Board Members if they were ready to make a decision. Mr. Jon Haight made a motion that this request for a variance by applicant Charlqs D. Stanton be granted, this motion was seconded by David Plew, all voting aye. ( Charles Finn, Board member was not present) This becomes Resolution #1-84 Zoning Officer Fowler presented Mr. Stanton with forms to be filled out and returned to him, when applying for a building permit. '- Following a public hearing which was held in the Town Hall.on June 12, 1984, '. the Zoning Board of Appeals met to give a -decision regarding the application '. of ETL:for a Special Permit for expansion at Industrial Park. „. Present were, Chairman Ronald Gauthier- Charles Finn David Pleur Mrs. J. Rosen and representing,ETL, Phillip Peterson, Engineer for ETL. Don Fowler, Zoning Officer. It is noted that the Board Members reviewed the report -from the Cortland 'County --Planning 'County--PlanningBoard dated May 23 1984 GML Form #87.00-01-54.10. This application was approved by the County Planning. Board. The Cortlandville Planning Board recommended.approval.at their regular meeting held May 29,1984.- .. -Since no one appeared to .object to this application motion was made by Mr. Plew seconded by.Mr. Finn that the Zoning Board of Appeals approve of this application. This was unanimous.; _ Mr. Peterson will obtain the necessary forms from Zoning Officer Fowler for a building permit. .Reported by M. Brookins, Secretary . Vp 1 Relative to Public Hearing # 3 Zoning Board-of Appeals Minutes of June 12, 1984. Following a public hearing at 8 P.M. which was held in the Town Hall June 12, 1984.the Zoning Board of Appeals met to give-a decision, regarding the application of Brian and Paula McMahon for a Special Permit.for student housing at. 278 West Road. All members present,-of the Zoning Board have a copy of 'the GML report from the County Planting Board. This report # 86.17-01-04 dated as of May 23, 1984 approves of this application. The Cortlandville Planning Board recommended approval of this"_application -at their regular meeting held. ixi'the Town Hall May 29, 1984. - After discussion and since no one appeared to object to this application for a special permit for student housing at 278 West Road, Motion.was. made.-by Mr. Plew, seconded by Mrs. Rosen that this application be approved..' Brookins, Secretary N I - • Following a Public Hearing which was_held at 7:30 P.M. -in the Town Hall of the Town of Cortlandville, the Zoning Board -of Appeals met for a decision in regard to'the application of Roland Oaks for a Special Permit on his property on Rte 13_S. for an Auction barn that would permit potential buyer, Jack Woods'to auction livestock and farm implements. The following members of the Zoning Board were present, Acting as Chairman, David Paew, Jon -Haight Jacquelin Rosen Also present, Zoning Officer, Don Fowler Mr. & Mrs. Roland.Oaks Don Osbeck Mr. Plew brought to the sttention of -those present, a -letter from the. Chairman of the.Cortlandvi-Ile Planning Board, which includes not only the Town Resolution as of duly 31, 1984 but also the Resolution of the County Planning Board,,as follows: i 4 COUNTY RESOLUTION #-84-26 THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that ~this application for a Special Permit be f . approved with the condition -that -no parking be allowed on Rte 13 and that Site"parking be considered more carefully. i CORTLANDVILLE PLANNING BOARD RESOLUTION # 24-84. Motion was made by Burgess, 'seconded by Kelly that the Zoning Board of f Appeals approve of the application of Roland Oaks, .contingent on adequate j planning for on Sit* parking and no parking on the State:H'fghway, Rte 13. This motion was unanimous and becomes RESOLUTION # 24-84 / 7/31/84. Mr. Haight, directing a question to'Mr. Oaks asked if there was an over -flow of traffic, where more parking might be needed, would there be space available aside from the presently planned parking space ? Mr. Oaks stated there was plenty of :space at the back of the pppp•rty that could be used, Mr. Oaks also had a map showing the planned space for parking and where signs would be used to avoid any parking on the highway. After discussion among the members of the Zoning Board, the following resolution for approval, was passed unanimously. Motion was made by Rosen, seconded by Haight, that subject to the resolution of the County -Planning Boards decision and the approval of the Cortlandville Planning Board as per their Resolution as of July 31,84 and additional request by the Zoning Board of Appeals that requirement of certain signs to meet Town- regulations, be adhered to, this should include both traffic and advertising signs, this motion was passed unanimously, as'approved by the Zoning -Board of Appeals.
