TOWN BOARD MEETING

Supv Sumner opened the meeting at 7: 1.0 p.m.

Village sewer plant — Cl Solomon attended the preconstruction meeting. ML13 is the
engineer, The contractor is LoBar and is anxious to start. Soil borings need to be done. They
anticipate completion in July.
Ithaca WWTP had a presentation today on a project they want; to complete at a cost of
eight million dollars. The project will decrease energy consumption by 84% and bring their use
of renewable energy from 24% to over 60 %. They expect the project to be complete and online
• in five years.
TG Miller is revising proposal for preparation of a Map, Plan and Report for the Cortland
Road Water District, Supv Sumner will distribute to board members for discussion next week
if that is received.
DRAC v*vill be at next week's board meeting to present petitions.
Cl Leifer will meet with At.ty Perkins, ZO Slater, and Dan Kwasnowski tomorrow. They
will be asking Anschutz for their stormwater plain for the Cook l well site. D Kwa:snowski is
drafting a letter to DEC advising them that the Town of Dryden intends to enforce its
stormwat:er law.
Cl l..eifer said the Town of Dryden has enough data regarding its aquifers to be able to
pass a local law protecting the aquifers.
The Town has a vacant seat on the Dryden Youth Commission. There is also a vacancy
for the Village of Preeville. We will put: a notice in the next Town Newsletter.
The community garden area has been staked out and tilled. The formal agreement has
not yet been prepared. Cl Stelick and Supv Sumner would like to provide water for the garden.

TC3. They all did agree that when you have a lot of police officers and make more arrests, it
will look like there is more crime, because you are uncovering things that would not otherwise
be uncovered. It was rioted that TC3 has increased their police force and there has been no
impact on the arrest rate in the Village.
It was acknowledged that TC3 does a lot for the community.
There was discussion about the Fourth of July Fireworks to be held at TC3. A local .
farmer is concerned about the impact on his dairy cows. Community groups are planning
events to be held in and around the Village prior to the fireworks.
The board has received a letter from a resident who is concerned with the safety of
pedestrians on Route 13 north Of the village to the TC3 entrance. He suggested more lighting
would help alleviate the problem. The shoulders are wide on this state: road, and people pass
on the right when the car in front of them is waiting to turn left, putting pedestrians in danger.
The TCAT bus stops in front of the Trust Company. The board is not sure Town cyan do to help.
It is a state road and some of the area is in the Village boundaries. Supv Sumner will ask the
Highway Superintendent for suggestions.

RESOLUTION #72 - APPROVE BUDGET MODIFICATION
Supv Sumner offered the following resolution and asked for its adoption:
RESOLVED, that this Town Board hereby approves the following budget modification:
The sum of $1,269.00 from 138030.4 (mapping contractual) to 13$030.2 (mapping equipment)

B Mcllroy reported that we have received Some of the home grant money. Sales tax
revenue is looking to be on track with what we were expecting. Supv Sumner said it has been
