Taylor, presiding; Notice of completion of preliminary budget and notice of Public Hearing was read by the Town Clerk. Notice was published in -the Cortland Standard October 4 & 5, 1968. None appeared to object to Budget. Motion by Mr. Fish seconded by Mr. Eaton that the hearing be declared closed. This motion was carried.Moticn was then made by Mr. Griswold seconded by Mr. Eaton that -the preliminary budget as read be accepted aid become the Annual Budget for the year 1969, This motion unanimous. Town Clerk read notice of Public Hearing advertized for October 16, 1968 for 7:30 P.M. in regard to the extension of the Water District # 1 to include the Neiderhofer Development at McLean and Fairview area. No one appeared to object to this pro - Sect and the Supervisor declared the hearing closed. Regular meeting of the Town Board was held at 8 P.M. Present were Supervisor F.K:Taylor presiding, Justices Eaton and Fish,Coun- cilman Sherman Griswold. Councilman Wadsworth was not present at this time. Also present were, Book-keeper for Supervisor, R.Krauklis Highway Sup°t. Harry Cooper ,Town Attorney John Gardner, Town Eng. William Rowell, Fred Walker, Water Department, Vern Neiderhofer, Norman Grant, H. Gutchess, Dan VanGalder, Pio Partigianoni and other residents of Parti Dr., Edward Caufield, and Robert Bean. Town Clerk read minutes of last meeting and they were approved. Mr. Partigianoni and other residents of Parti Drive discussed the ditch situation on the upper end of Parti Dr. Ditches on the upper end are much lower than those at the bottom of the hill. Both Mr. • Rowell, Eng. and Highway Supt. Cooper discussed these problems with the residents. Mr. Caufield of North Road ,McGraw, presented a petition with 26 signers objecting to the junk cars on North Road. Town Clerk has done everything in his power to do at this point. Warrants must be issued by Town Justices. Motion was made by Mr. Eaton seconded by S. Griswold that Robert Bean be permitted to haul fill across the property of Water Dist. # 1 over its north boundary of,paral'61 to Mr®Beans property 50 feet wide at no cost t Town and no liability to said Town© This motion was carried.— y Motion by'Mr.Eaton seconded byMr. Fish that the Trailer permit of Howard Rew be extended 6 mos, upon payment of fee of $10.00 to the Town Clerk. This motion was carried. ' \�c Motion was made by Mr. Eaton seconded by Mr. Fish that the cer- tified check in the amount of $500.00 be returned to Wm Spafford and the road be accepted, (PHEASANT RUN) This motion was carried Torun Clerk Brookins read a petition from residents of Sweeney road asking for street lights on this road. Justice Fish will investigate. Motion was made by Mr. Griswold seconded by Mr. Eaton that the Niagara Mohawk Power Co. be authorized to change a light at Munson and McLean road from a 2500 lumen to 175 Watt. This motion was carried. Motion was made by Mr. Fish seconded by Mr, Eaton that the Town Clerk be authorized to charge $2.00 for a copy of the new zoning ordinance book and $1.00 for copy of map. This motion was carried. �O 4 Motion was made by Mr. Eaton seconded by Mr. Griswold that the Highway Supt. Cooper be authorized to advertize for bids for 40,000.Gal. of Gasoline. This motion was carried. Eaton, Justice of the Peace Ronald Fish, Justice of the Peace Sherman Griswold, Councilman ABSENT: Henry Wadsworth, Councilman WHEREAS, A petition for the extension of Water District No. 1 in the Town of Cortlandville, Cortland County, New York, the said petition being dated September 16, 1968, was duly presented to the Town Board, together with the necessary map and plan attached thereto; and WHEREAS, An order was duly adopted by the Town Board on Octobe 2, 1968, reciting the filing of said petition, the improvements posed, the boundaries of the proposed District and the estimated pense thereof and specifying October 16, 1968, at 7:30 o'clock P. M as the time and the Town Hall in said Town as the place where the Town Board would meet to consider the petition and to hear all pers interested in the subject thereof, concerning the same; and WHEREAS, Such order was duly posted and published as required by law; and WHEREAS,, A hearing in the matter was duly held by the Town on this 16th day of October, 1968, commencing at 7:30 o'clock P. and it is further RESOLVED, That the Town Clerk of this Town shall within ten da after the adoption of this Resolution filer certified copies thereof in duplicate in the Office of the State Department of Audit & Control at Albany, New York, together with an application by this Board in duplicate for permission to create the aforesaid extension of such district as provided for by Town Law, Section 194;
