Town Board meeting:

July 3, 1968, 8 P.M. Town Hall, Terrace Road in the Town
of Cortlad.dville. Supervisor Frank K. Taylor,presiding,
Board members present were Justices Donald Eaton and Ron .Fish,
Councilmen Sherman Griswold and Henry Wadsworth, also, Book-
keeper to the Supervisor, Rudy Krauklis, Town Attorney John
Gardner, Fred Walker, Supst. of Water and Sewer installations,
Willis E. Becker, Town Assessor. also, Louis Sosnowich, Mr.
Bova, architect and John MacNeil, Engineer.
Town Clerk read minutes of last meeting and they were approv-

Motion was made: by Ron Fish seconded by Henry Wadswoi- . that
the appointments be held over until John Gardner, Town Attorney
has looked into this procedure. Unanimously approved by the
Board. members. (Mrs. Rita Sinram, Democrat election inspector
was present at this time)
Supervisor Taylor discussed the Wm Porter project at the
Groton Avenue Shopping Plaza with members of the Town Board and
Engineer MacNeil presented plans for Sewage Disposal of this
proposed addition to the Shopping Plaza- On motion of Justice
Eaton seconded by Councilman Wadsworth the following resolution
was passed unanimously by the Town Board.
4 /�3i WHEREAS, Porter Real Estate has applied to the Department
of Health of the County of Cortland for a permit to construct
a on site,Septic System on its lands located in the Groton Ave,
Shopping Plaza on the east side of New York State Route #281 in
the Town of Cortlandville, where the applicant intends to construct
additions to the present Shopping Plaza; be it
RESOLVED. That the Town Attorney shall prepare and the
Town Supervisor shall sign and mail a letter addressed to Porter
Real Estate, stating that the Town Board will diligently pursue
the construction of a municipal sewer to serve the entire Shopping
Plaza with an expected target date of five years, the entire

Shopping Plaza to connect to the Sanitary Sewer within one
year of its availability, and be it further
RESOLVED, that one copy of said letter shall be sent by
mail to Dr. Robert Corey, acting County Health Commissioner,
Cortland County Health Department,
Mr. Fish reported on the Deerfield Heights, underground
cable of the Niagara Mohawk Power Corp. which are laid in the
Town righ®of®way. Niagara Mohawk Power Corp. will level off
the ditch.
Mr. Bova, architect presented new plans for the Sosnowich
development as per requested by the Town Board. Motion was
made by Mr. Eaton seconded by Mr. Fish that the new plans
of the multiple dwellings ,dated July 1 1968, revised, as
requested be accepted by the Town Board. This motion was
carried unanimously.
�As per June 4th, motion was made by Supervisor Taylor
seconded by Councilman Wadsworth that a light be installed
in front of the residence of Justice Eaton on Clinton Ave.
extension out of McGraw/Village. Niagara Mohawk will be so
informed.

Sewer Dist. of Don Morton and Harold Cleveland properties
on Starr Road. Motion was made by Sherman Griswold seconded

to this application, on July 17, 1968 at 8 P.M.. This motion

containing the required dgnatures has been presented to and filed
the Town Board of the Town of Cortlandville, Cortland County,
York, for the extension of the existing boundaries of Sewer Di
ct No. 1 of the Town of Cortlandville, such proposed extension

said Sewer District No. 1 will be paid by one of the petitioners,
Pinehurst Development Corp., the mle owner of 22 acres of the land
included in such proposed extension, and no sum would be required t
be expended for such services by the Town of Cortlandville or the
presently existing Sewer District No. 1;

Motion was made by Mr. Eaton seconded by Mr. Griswold
that the Town Board go on record to accept the land of the
Common school list® 20 & 13, after the schoolhouse has been
removed from the site. This motion passed unanimously.
Motion was made by Mr. Fish seconded by Mr. Griswold
that all bills as presented and read by the Town Clerk
and audited by the Town Board be paid as follows:
