The second,- meet1n- of the Town Board for the moatr

presiding. Present were Justices 11. Fish and D. Laton,
® Councilmen Sherman Griswold and Henry Wadsworth. Also
present were Supervisor's bookkeeper, R. KraLllclis, Town
Attorney John Gardner and Sup't of Water and Sewer install-
ation, F. Walker
The Town Clerk read the minutes of the Last meeting
and they were approved. He also read a. letter from the

Dep t t of Transportation, State of hew York denying the re-
quest to lower the speed limit on Kellogg road.

WHEREAS, The establishment of a system of local level tele-
phone service throughout the Cuunty of Cortland and the elimination
of telephone charges therein would greatly enhance the communica-
tion's capability with respect to the public safety agency and emer-
•
gency services of the Town of Cortlandville, in addition to being a
great benefit to commercial and other services of the Town of Cort-
landville and to the general public of the County of Cortland;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT
RESOLVED, That the Town Board of the Town of Cortlandville
does hereby go on record as endorsing the principle of toll -free
telephone service throughout the County of Cortland and the efforts
which are now being made by the involved municipalities, public
safety agencies and other organizations in behalf of this program;
be it further
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Town of Cortlandville be, and
he hereby is, authorized and directed to mail certified copies of
this resolution to the New York State Public Service Commission,
the New York Telephone Company, Chenango & Unadilla Telephone Com-
pany, Iroquois Telephone Company and Western Counties Telephone Cor-
poration.

Regular meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Cortlandville
was held April 4, 1968 at 8 P-Ir;. at the Town Hall, Terrace Road
in the Town of Cortlandville, Supervisor Frank K. Taylor, presiding:
Board. members present were, Justices Don Eaton and Ron Fish, Councilmen
Sherman Griswold and Henry Wadsworth.
Present also were Town Attorney John Gardner,Highway Sup't.
Harry Cooper, Superintendent of water and Sewer installation's Fred
Walker, Bobk-keeper for Supervisor, R. Krauklis, Town Assessor
W.E.Becker, Town Eng. Wm. Howell, and County Highway SIp't. Walter
Tennant. MKM
Town Clerk read minutes of the last meeting and they were approved
Supervisor Taylor read --.letters from the Board of education
in regard to conditions of the Ahrens Road which occur each spring
also a letter from National Grange in regard to accident involving
Highway Dep't. which occured March 4, 1968. Letters will be filed.

on motion of Justice Eaton -veconded by Councilman Wadsworth, Motion
was carried.
,k-�V Motion was made by Mr. Eaton seconded by Mr. Wadsworth that
the recommendation of the Anpe,,:,iis Board regarding the Robert Bean
lands to be rezoned from Agriculture &, Residential to entirely
Commercial be accepted by the Town Board, This motion was carried.
Walter Tennant appeared in behalf of Richard Space who
would like the water line on Route 90 to include lots he wishes
to develope. He was advised to get the area residents who woiild
benefit by this water line to Petition the Town Board to this effect
Public Hearin-- for the New Zoning Ordinance is set for April
24, 1968 at 7:30 P.M. at the Town Hall.
Highway Sup't. read a monthly report of the activities of the
Highway Dep't. for the month of March which he will keep on file in
his office. Mr. Cooper requested that Harmon I,'-inneyls salary be
ralsed to `"2.40 per hour as of April 1, 1968, this motion. was
carried. Pi.otion was made by seconded by Mr. Fish that
$yperintendent Cooped be permitted to hire Kenneth Alberts at
XWF
;,�2.00 per hour. This motion was carried.

Town Clerk and Justice Fish inspected Bean's Trailer Park and
found the following violations:

Motion by Mr. Eaton seconded by Mr. Fish that all bills
as prepared and presented by the Town Clerk and audited by the
Town Board be paid as follows:

Water Dist. 1 955.38
Water Dist 2 227.70
Sewer Dist 1 425.15
This motion was carried. There being no further business,
meeting was adjourned.
