January 17, 1968, 7:30 P.M.
'Jhe second Board meeting of the month was held at the
Town Hall, Supervisor Frank K. Taylor presiding. Members
present were, Justices Ronald Fish and Donald Eaton, Council-
men Sherman griswold and Henry Wadsworth, also Rudy Krauklis
® Supervisor's bookkeeper, Town Attorney John J. Gardner,
Town Engineer, Wm. Rowell, Town Assessor W.E.Becker,Super-
intendent of Water and Sewer installations.
The `}'ewn Clerk read the minutes of the last meeting
and they were approved.
0-* Motion was made by Mr. Eaton seconded by Mr. Griswold
that an amendment to the last meeting in regard to Salary
of Town Engineer be amended to read $2600.00 per year for
1 year and that the Supervisor be empowered to sign such

agreement. This motion was carried.
Motion was made by Mr. Eaton seconded by Mr. Fish that
the Trailer permit of Lyman Burrows be extended upon pay -
went of N]_O.i)f?., This motion was carried.
Mr.E)r�rptt Sharpe representative salesman for Syracuse
Truck Corporation ,1120 E. Erie Blvd. Syracuse, N.Y. was
present to inform the Board of the advantages they could
offer with their equipment (Oshkosh 4-Wheel Drive Trucks)

Supervisor. Taylor read a letter from Mr. La Verne Nied-
erhofer, petitionIng the Board to establish a water district
for the ]_and area bordering on the McLean Road and Fair-
view Drive, known as the Space and Breed farms. Also, to
include lard adjacent to the McLean Road extending from
the present water district near the former Cary Ph-s-int now
owned by Smith-Corona-Marchant, to and connecting with the
farms mentioned. If this is feasible, they will connect
to the Town'-- Water main at an entrance to proposed new

development on Fairview Drive and provide a 6 inch water

main and hydrants to service approximately Two hundred
homes on these two farms.
Motion was made by Mr. Eaton seconded by Mr. Wadsworth
that the Town Engineer and the Town Attorney be authorized
to make a study of this project and report to the Town •
Board as to their recommendations. This motion was carried.
Motion was also made by Mr. Eaton seconded by Mr. Griswold*
that an amount not to exceed $500.00 be appropriated for
this study. This motion was carried.
C�� On motion of Mr. Eaton seconded by Mr. Wadsworth the
Town Clerk was instructed to put Mr. Niedbrhofer's letter
on file. This motion was carried.
iA The Town Clerk informed the Board that he had no water
meters in stock, Motion was made by Mr. Griswold seconded
by Mr. Wadsworth that the Town Clerk be authorized to
order 12 water meters. This motion was carried.
Motion was made by Mr. Eaton seconded by Mr. Fish
that the Town Board establish the office of Deputy Town
Superintendent of Highways. This motion was carried.
�'jk Motion by Mr. Wadsworth seconded by Mr. Eaton that
Fred Walker be permitted to purchase an instrument to
locate leaks in the water line,not to exceed $100.00
in price. This motion was carried.

Motion was made by Mr. Fish seconded by Mr. Wadsworth
that the Town Attorney be authorized to adveZtize for
Bids for a Backhoe. Motion carried.
There being no further business at this time,
meeting was adjourned.
