Taylor presiding: other members present were, Justice Donald Eaton and Ronald Fish, councilmen Sherman Griswold and Ray Miller. Also present were, Town Attorney John Gardner, Town Eng. William Rowell., Hgwy Supt. Harry Cooper, Supervisor's book- . keeper, R.Krauklis and Fred Walker of the Water Department. Also Town Assessor, Henry Wadsworth. Town Clerk read the minutes of the last meeting and they were 337.�� -\V- V Motion was made by Mr. Eaton seconded by Mr. Fish that the Town be instructed to return the petition of C.D.Murray for re -zoning lands on Rte 11 to industrial. The Town Board will review appli- cation if made out to read as a request from"agricultural to commercial"Instead of industrial. This motion was carried. The Town Clerk returned said application to Attorney.4.Lvery. Motion was made by Mr. Griswold seconded by Mr. Eaton that the Town Board approve a letter written by the Supervisor to the Cortland Regicnial Headquarters of the N.Y.State Water Resource Commission, requesting a. renewal of 11 Memorandum of Understanding" between Town of CortlandvIlle and said Resource Commission. This motion was carried, Fred Walker prepared an inventory of Water Department, Motion was made by Mr. Griswold seconded by Mr. Fish that this inventory be filed with the Town. Clerk. -Motion was carried. Mr. Row -ell reviewed the work being done at the Niederhofer Tract on McLean -Fairview area. A letter was filed by the Town Clerk regarding Mr. Row,ell's,Waterw-orks Investigation for the past quarter. 26 PROCLAMATION: BY Supervisor Frank K. Taylor, -�"q Upon motion by Justice Donald Eaton, seconded by Justice Ronald Fish and carried unanimously; Whereas, the Town Board recognizes the general desirability of property beautification and its resultant values for com- • munity betterment, its increased personal interest and its importance in making Cortland a better place in which to work and live, be it - RESOLVED, that, in cooperation with the Cortland bounty Beautification Program, the Town Board does hereby proclaim the week of May llth through May 17th as " Clean -Up -Week" through- out the Township. E.�i' ler, Councilman Members of the Town Board of t Town.of Cortlandville, New Yor 1 . $Regarding Agreement with Central Asphalt Co. and the Town of Cortlandville: THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this 13th day of May in the year Nineteen Hundred Sixty-nine, by and between Central Asphalt ,Inc., of 444 East Third Street ,Watkins Glen, New York and the Town Loard of the Town of Cortlandville, Terrace Road Cortland, New York: • WHEREAS, The Zoning Board of Appeals of the Town of Cortlandville on April 21, 1969, adopted a Resolution authorizing the issuance of a permit for an indefinite period of time for the excavation and sale of sand, gravel and stone from its property, consisting of 79 Acres of land located southwesterly from interchange 10 of U.S. Route # 81 in the own of cortlandville; 1L WITNESSETH: It is hereby covenated and agreed that the Central Asphalt, Inc will restore the aforesaid premises to the conditions approved and established by said special permit and in accordance with Section 1410 of the 1968 Zoning Ordinance, Town of Cortlandville. IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have caused their cor- porate seals to be hereto affixed and this agreement to be signed by their duly authorized officers the day and year first above written.
