Aug. 5,1970, tat. regular meeting of the Town Board for the month of August, Public Hearing to amend the Water Ordinance,Article 1V, Section 1, that fees for installation of 3/4 "" be $125.00, payable to the Town Clerk at his office on 15 Terrace Rd. .,.�t-tq The Town Clerk read the notice of such published in the Cortland STandard, July 23, 1970. No one appeared to object to this amend- ment. Motion was made by Mr Eaton J.P. ,seconded by Ray Miller • Councilman that the change in the Water Ordinance be adopted, this motion was carried. Regular meeting followed, with Supervisor Frank K. Taylor presiding. Members present were,Councilmen Sherman Griswold and Ray Miller, and Justice Don Eaton, absent , Justice Ron Fish. Also present , R. Krauklis, Book-keeper for Supervisor, Town Engineer, Wm. Rowell, Town Attorney John Gardner, Town Assessor, -Henry Wads- worth, Highway Supt. Lou. Wagner, Fred Walker, Water Department , Phil and Dorothy Allen,Pat and Joan Hkm:1..19 and Mrs. Parsons. The Town Clerk read the minutes of the last meeting and there were no corrections. �gjo Motion was made by Mr. Eaton seconded by Mr. Miller that all necessary expenses be paid by the Town for R. Krauklis to attend a meeting in Ithaca;August 24,& 25. 1970. This motion was carried. 01 Motion was made by Mr. Miller seconded by Mr. Griswold that Justice Don Eaton be permitted to attend (2) meetings and seminar as follows: at Harper College ,Aug 14 & 15 , with all necessary expense paid by the Town and in Binghamton ,August 18,19 & 2oth. with all necessary expense paid by the Town. This motion was carried. *.Iy Motion was made by Mr. Eaton seconded by Mr. Miller that the Treasurer" check and performance bond of the Stiles Tract to guarantee the construction and grading of the remainder of Field- crest Dr.,Gweii Lane and all of Woodside Dr. be accepted. This motion was carried. q3 Motion was made by Mr. Griswold seconded by Mr. Miller that the Highway Supt., Lou Wager be authorized to finish the top coating pf Section 1, Hart Estates, this motion was carried. -Ky4 Motion was made by Mr. Eaton seconded by Mr. Miller that Justice Fish be authorized to investigate the need of a street light on the Solon Road outs1de of the Village of McGraw. This motion was carried. -WyS Motion by Mr. Eaton seconded by Mr. Griswold that Frederick Monroe of the Highway Dept. have his wage increased to $2.45 per. hr. effective August 1, 1970. Whis motion was carried. 4�_o Motion was made by Mr. Eaton, seconded by Mr. Miller that Supervisor Taylor be instructed to vote "NO" on a resolution before the County Board of Supervisors in regards to bridges in the Town. This motion was carried. Pat. Hamill asked the Town Clerk if Corville Apartments were going to install a fence. The Clerk informed him that they were to install a 6" galvanized sectional fence according to the building permit issued. Motion by Mr. Miller seconded by Mr. Griswold that all bills as prepared and read by the Town Clerk and audited by the Town Board be paid as follows: Motion carried. I E fl 11 LJ On motion by and 17 seconded by the following resolution was unanimously adopted: WHEREAS, the Planning Board of the Town has approved the remainder of a certain subdivision plat of a portion of lands of Section 1 of "Hart Estates", subject to the filing of a performancl bond in the amount of $5,320.00 to guarantee the suitable and sati�_ factory construction. and grading of the remainder of certain pro- posed streets known as "Field Crest Drivel,"Gwen Lane" and all of "Woodside Drive" on or before . . . . . . 1970, in. a­cc0Td- ance with a certain profile and cross section of said street and specifications thereof as shown on a m ap of profiles and a portior of Section 1 of "Hart Estates" made by John S. McNeil, Jr., con.sult- ing engineer and land surveyor, dated June 19, 1969, and revised June 28, 1969 and in, accordance with the specifications of the Towr of CortlanAville for Town. Road and Street Construction., dated Sep- tember 28, 1968; and WHEREAS, Stiles Farm, Inc., the owner and developer of sai "Hart Estates" Tract has delivered to the Town Clerk Its performan bond in. the amount of $5,320.00 to guarantee the construction and grading of the remainder of Field Crest Drive, Gwen Lane and all o Woodside Drive as shown on said map of Road Profiles; and WHEREAS, said Stiles Farm, Inc. has formally offered to deli- Icate said streets to the public; and WHEREAS, said Stiles Farm, Inc. has delivered to the Town 1proposed deed dated . . . . . . . . . . . .. 1970, conveying all lits right, title and interest in the remainder of Field Crest Dri (Gwen Lane and all of Woodside Drive as shown on, said Subdivision lPlat,and described in said Offer of Session. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the aforesaid performance bond made and exe 11cuted by said Stiles Farm, Inc. in. the amount of $5,320.00 be, and I jJit hereby is, approved as to form, s-ufficiency and manner of exe6u- Ition.; and be it further P 242 RESOLVED, that the aforesaid streets or highways known as portion of Field Crest Drive and Gwen Lane and all of Woodside Dri as described in said Offer of Session and in said deed be, and the hereby are, formally accepted as public streets in the Town of Cor landville, Cortland County, New York; and be it further RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Town of Cortlandville be, and he hereby is, authorized and directed to record the aforesaid deed in Cortland County Clerk's Office. 1 • 1
