Regular Meeting 0 Public Hearing in regards to the renewal of Fire Contract with the Village of MoGraw. Supervisor called meeting to order with .all members of the Town Board present, Justices, R. Fish and D. Eaton,Councilmen S. Griswold and R. Miller. Town Clerk, • Lelan M. Brookins read the notice as it appeared in the Cortland Standard, Sept. 9, 1972. No one appeared to voice any objections and the Hearing was declared closed on ?potion of Mr. Miller and seconded by D. Eaton. This motion passed unanimously. Regular meeting was called to order by Supervisor Frank K. Taylor. Present at this meeting R. Krauklis, book -keener for Supervisor, Town Engineer, dim. Rowell., Town Attorney .1. Gardner, Hgwy Supt. Lou Wagner, five residents from Groton Ave. ext. and George Cook. of 324 Groton Road, applicant for Town Assessor, Mr. Abraham MoCloy, McCloy Road, Tom Smith, Lamont Circle, Bruce Goetchus, McGraw, Dan Fagan from Cortland. Standard, M. Brookins Deputy Town Clerk, and. Fred Walker, Water & Sewer Maintenance. Town Clerk read the minutes of the last meeting and there was one correction, the name of the appointed Deputy Hgwy Supt. being Atkins, and not Atkinson. Town Clerk read the Petition of Leolyn Oaks and Sherman Griswold, regvesting a rezoning of approximately 2546 feet along Route 13 and approximately 1450 feet in depth and is approximately 95.36 acres of land more or less, from agricultural to industrial. RESOLUTION: Motion was made by Mr. Eaton seconded by Mr. Fish that said petition be accepted and filed, notion carried. RESOLUTION: .1"AMotion was made by Mr. Miller seconded by Mr. Eaton that a Public Heatring be schediiled for October 4, at 7 P.M. regard- ing the Petition of S. Griswold and Lmolyn Oaks for rezoning of 95-36 acres of their land. Thts motion was Dassed. 41)3q Town Attorney,John Gardner presented a Petition ree'd, from Hoffman & Hoffman, regarding a request of Sylvia Carter to rezone a portion of her land from an R-2 District to a Business Distrtnt. Motion was made by T)on ',wR-ton seconded. by R. Miller that said petition be accepted and filed. Mr. Abrahnm McCloy was present to ask the Board permission to have another trailer on -his farm. Town Clerk had advised Mr. McCloy that according to the Trailer Ordinance, two or more trailers nonstituted a Trailer Park. Town Attorney Gardner advised Mr. McCloy that the Town Clerk had instructed bim properly according to this ordinance. RESOLUTION: MCGRAW FIRE CONTRACT Motion wn-s:made by Mr. Miller seconded by Mr. Fish that the Supervisor be empowered to sign the contract with the Village of McGraw for Fire Protection for the sum of $5500.00 per yr. from Jan.1, 1973 thru Dec. 31st 1975. This motion was carried. Mr. Taylor had had communication with Mr. Harold ousby, of the Village of McGraw, regarding the. Smith Brook Chan..nel© There was discussion and comments but no action at this time. -/J, Mr. B. Mr. Lee Taylor Attorney, and members of the Board. of Trustees of the Cortland Free Library, Harry Tam, Paul Geibel Karl Wendt and. Warren Fddly,Director, were present to request an appropriation of $12,000 for their services to the residents of Ithe. Town of Cort1pndville. � My After some discussion, on motion of R. Fish seconded by R. Miller, a RESOLUTTON was passed offering Cortland Free Library a two year contract at $12,000 per.year . Mr. Geibel will, get in touch with Mr. Taylor after he has contacted, the other members of the Board of Trustees. Applications for the position of Assessor for the Town of Cortlandville to replace Mr, Henry Wadsworth who will be reti.rihg.. Den. 31st. 1972, were as follows: George D. Cook Jr. 324 Groton Rd.,Cortlandville,cortland, N.Y. Robert Wells, Dryden, N.Y. James P. Sloan, R#l, Cortlandville, Cortland, N.Y. Thomas Harrington, Joseph St., Cortland, N.Y. James Valentine, Little York, N.Y. Clifford Parkin,Village/McGraw, Cortlandville Lawrence Fitts, Homer, N.Y. Claude P. Johnson, Tthaca, N.Y. Charles W. Indelicato, Ithaca, N.Y. George D. Cook Jr. who was present was interview,ed briefly by Board members. Town Board recessed at this time to review applications. 11�1 !I My Motion was made by Mr. Fish seconded by Mr. Miller that the applications of Robert Wells, Clifford Parkin and Lawrence Fitts be submitted to Civil Service Board, Motion passed.
