See Transcript by Cecile Burgett. Second Regular meeting of the month called to order by Frank K. Taylor other members present were Justices Donald Eaton and Ronald Fish, Council- men Ray Miller and Sherman Griswold. Also present were Rudy Krauklis, book-keeper for the Supervisor, Town Engineer, Wm. Rowell, Town Attorney John Gardner, Town Assessor Henry Wadsworth, Dep. Clk. M. Brookins. Mrs. Cogswell, Mrs. McLaughlin and Mr. Walter Priest were present from the Groton Ave Ext. area, Town Clerk read. the minutes of the last meeting and there were no corrections, tgt Mr. Brookins read a letter reed from Lehigh Valley Railroad Co, concerning agreement # B 831, dated Oct. 12, 1966 covering Undergrade Pipe Crossing at M.P. 68.3,53, Elmira Branch, Cortland, N.Y. As Follows: In line with the reorganization of the Lehigh Valley Railroad Company, we are presently reviewing and revising the agreement covering the facilities referred to above. Therefore, this is to advise that effective June 15, 1972 the annual rental for the facilities involved will be increased from $15, to $25-00 Min., per year, or fraction of a year. All of the other terms and conditions are to remain in full force and effect. Motion was made by Mr,, Eaton _ seconded by Mr. Miller that this letter of resignation be accepted and filed. This motion was carried. Mr. Wm. Rowell P.E. reported on Bids which were opened by the To Clerk at 3 P.M. June 21, 1972. This was for Pipe and fittings and Hydrant and Valves. Mr. Rowell recommened that the low bid of Jones Water Supply, 1107 Front St. Binghamton, N.Y. be accepted. ($2546.91 This bid for the Pipe and fittings. JL30 Also, the low Bid of Martisco Corporation, Bear Rd. & Pulaski St. Syracuse, N.Y. for Hydrant & `salves. be accepted. ($519.39) /f Motion by Mr. Fish seconded by Mr. Futon that these low bids be accepted, motion was carried. This material is for extending the water line on Starr Road to the end of the rater Dist. line. • Mr Gardner reported a telephone conversation with Halford Rowe of ?McGraw informing hire that the abutments of the East Academy St. bridge had been washed out, due to the storm in progress, tonight. A Motion was made by Mr. Miller seconded by Mr. Griswold that Justice Eaton be given permission to attend a seminar at St. Lawrence University July 18 thru July 21 st. with all necessary expenses to be paid by the Town. This motion was carried. Due to another phone call from Mr. Doran in McGraw regarding the storm ,damage, the Town Board adjourned to investigate in the McGraw area. Lelan M. Brookins, Town Clerk • 1
